Dear Panel Members:

Be advised that the US Attorneys office will move (or have already moved) to dismiss all 1325 and 1326 cases where
children were separated from their parent. Going forward, they will no longer bring criminal charges against a parent or
parents entering the United States if they have their child with them. You should check your cases immediately to ensure
the case was dismissed if you have a 1325 or 1326 case where the child was removed from the parent. Similarly, if you
get a new 1325 or 1326 where a child was present, you need to request that the case be declined. Each of the local city
chiefs have the same marching orders.

Mr. Bash confirmed he has authorized this action and has already moved to dismiss several pending cases throughout
the border district. He told me that until or unless he is countermanded this will be the policy of the Western District of
Texas.

Happy news for our clients - now the real work begins - helping to reunite the parents with their children.
