Special Coating Treatment CrN(Chromium nitride)
CrN coating treatment has the features of high hardness and preventing abrasion, meltage,
corrosion, and acidification. By the outstanding performance within the working environment of Color:silver
high temperature and heavy corrosion, CrN is mainly applied for pressing dies, but also suitable
for punches and slide components.
PUNCH Industry treats the components for pressing die by using the Physical Vapor Deposition(PVD)method which
includes TiCN(Titanium carbonitride),TiN(Titanium nitride),CrN(Chromium nitride),DLC(Diamond like carbon),CMTi(Multi-
layer composite film).
Physical Vapor Deposition(PVD)method has the advantage of low temperature treatment which enables base material to
be coated without hardness degradation or thermal deformation. There is no need to control sizes with consideration of the
thickness of coated layer which has been standardized to the unit of μm.
DLC(Diamond Like Carbon)
