In view of the significant increase in number of projects being implemented by the Department
and its continued thrust of ensuring quality in project implementation, Section 3.0, Criteria for
the Assignment of DPWH Materials Engineers of Department Order No. 12, Series of 2013
"Accreditation of DPWH Materials Engineers" is hereby revised as follows:

Classification Rank limits of Assignment

Materials Engineer I - One (1) project costing not more than P17S Million
- Two (2) projects, with an aggregate cost of P2S0 Million
- Three (3) projects, with an aggregate cost of not more
than P22S Million
- Four (4) projects, with an aggregate cost of not more
than P200 Million

Materials Engineer II - One (1) projeCt, no cost limit

- Two (2) projects, with an aggregates cost of not more
than P3S0 Million
- Three (3) projects, with an aggregate cost of not more
than P300 Million
- Four (4) projects, with an aggregate cost of not more
than P27S Million

Non-Accredited Materials Engineers may be assigned to three (3) DPWH projects costing not
more than PS Million each project or an aggregate cost of PiS Million.

Except for the above amendments, the other provisions of Department Order No. 12, Series of
2013 shall remain in force.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
