Activity 1.
1. Teacher shows a few pictures about water pollution to all the students.
(handout 2)
2. Teacher asks several WH questions regarding all the pictures.
a. What can you see in the picture?
b. What is happening in the picture?
c. Where does this take place?
d. Why does this happen?
e. Who did this?
f. What are the effects of this to the environment/human/living
things?
3. Students try to answer all the questions.

Activity 2.
1. Teacher introduces several new words on the board.
(prevent/shepherd/debris/upcycle/repurpose/conservation/consumption)
2. Teacher asks students to repeat the words aloud.
Chorally/Group/Individually
3. Teacher asks the students to use their dictionary and find the meaning
of the words on the board.
4. Teacher asks selected students to write the meaning of the words on the
board. (next to the word)
5. Teacher asks all the students to copy the meaning of the words in their
vocabulary notebook.

Development

Activity 3.
1. Teacher sticks a poster of an event on the board and asks the students to
study the poster carefully.(handout 1)
2. Teacher asks 10 WH Questions regarding the picture. Teacher write the
questions on the board.
a. What is the name of the event?
b. Who organize the event?

c. Why do they organize the event?


d. When will the event take place?
e. How many days will the event takes place?
f. Where will the event take place?
g. What is/are activity/ies planned for the event?
h. Who can go to the event?
i. How much do they have to pay for the event?
j. How can people book a place for the event?

4. Students try to answer all the questions with teacher’s assistance.


5. Teacher asks a few selected students to write the correct answer on the
board.
6. Teacher conduct question and answer drills. After that a few students
are selected to ask the questions using the question tag written on the
board (chorally/group/individually)

Post lesson

Activity 4.
1. Teacher asks students to write a paragraph/ 10 sentences regarding the
event in the poster.
2. Teacher asks a few selected students to read aloud their work.
3. Teacher ends up the lesson by recapping the lesson with several
questions.
