What education issue is on your radar, and why? Work towards a long
term plan for French Immersion Program, Foster Parent voices within the
system and advocate for parents through ARAC processes. Minimize
the displacement of children within the system.

What do you hope to change about the education system? Advocate for
new types of education funding ... per pupil placement funding is inequitable
and creates chaos in the system trying to balance budgets is difficult.
Develop a plan to monitor administrative spending in order to keep more
money in the classrooms.

Why do you want to be a school board trustee? I have strong leadership

skills and advocacy skills. I as a parent have been through school closures
and program moves and understand how helpless parents feel in the process.
Education money is not funded appropriately and makes the system
unbalanced. I will always advocate for Catholic Education.

made by the current Board of Directors to continue some of the work

What education issue is on your radar, and why? Inequality and

access to equipment for the students in Wards 1 & 14. There should
be an audit for each of the schools, now that the new accounting
standard of PSAB 3150 is in place and assets should be equalized
between all of the schools. There should not be a school that is fully
equipped with Smartboards while another school does not have any
Smartboards or safe playground equipment.

What do you hope to change about the education system?

Recommending effective policies regarding school fundraising, and to
create an effective network that engages parents, teachers and
students to work together to strive for excellence in Catholic
Education.

Why do you want to be a school board trustee? Although I am

not a parent, I can provide an objective point of view as a London
District Catholic School Board Trustee. I strive to be a strong role
model for my niece and nephew and remind them of the privilege of
having the opportunity for Catholic education.
