SERVICES & MUSIC

July—September 2018
W ELCOME TO THE ROBIN CHAPEL. Whether you come as part of a
Christian denomination or of none, all have a place within these
walls where the love of God dwells.

Every Sunday the Chaplain and Choir sing a choral service. As part of the
Chapel’s inter-denominational foundation we have regular visiting
preachers from across the various Christian churches, and all are most
welcome to join us in worship at the Robin Chapel.

Full details of services and of other events can be found on the Chapel
website: www.robinchapel.org.uk.

Choral Eucharist
Once a month, the Choir of the Robin Chapel sing the Office of Holy
Communion. With mass settings ranging from the earliest plainsong to
modern compositions, this service continues a tradition that leads back
to the Last Supper itself. All are welcome at the Robin Chapel where the
Lord’s Table is open for all.

Original Order
On certain Sundays in the year, the service reverts to the order that was
used from the time of the building of the Chapel in 1950. The traditional
chapel hymns, Lead Kindly Light and Who Would True Valour See are per-
manent fixtures of this service which includes ancillary music composed
by Sir Frances Tudsbury.

BCP Evensong
A traditional Choral Evensong service, the Choir of the Robin Chapel
lead the singing in a time of quiet reflection and contemplation in the
beautiful surroundings of the Chapel. Containing prose psalms, sung
prayers, and a virtuosic anthem, this popular service has been performed
daily in Cathedrals throughout the UK for 800 years.

Revised Order
With inspiration drawn from the Original Order, this service offers a
space for participation, reflection, and prayer. With guest preachers
giving a short homily, and a variety of canticles and anthems sung by the
Choir of the Robin Chapel, this service varies throughout the year.
