Memorandum for the High Doyen of the Nine

Subject:
Journal Entry #001 of [UNKNOWN] from the Journal of
Florence Ythier

Location of Discovery:
Found by researchers at the caldera of the [REDACTED] Volcano's
eruption after the Federation's overwhelming victory at the Battle
of [REDACTED]. Believed to have belonged to one Maxime Ythier, of
which the whereabouts are currently unknown.
The means which Ythier, from now on referred to as SOI #001, perused
to transport the journal to the caldera are currently unknown.
As there is no known information about SOI #001 in any of the
Order's archives or the [REDACTED] archives, no further
investigation can be initiated as long as Journal Entry #001 can
not be deciphered.

Description:
The Journal of Florence Ythier is a book made using a long-extinct
knowledge of creating pages that [REDACTED] when read. It is bound
in a green leather binding. The leather, when touched, seems moist
at all times, although various experiments have concluded that this
is one of many quite [REDACTED] properties of the binding. It's green
color can not be attributed to any animal, currently known to man
on Earth or [REDACTED].
The pages of the journal are made ofDONOTREADTHISJOURNAL and thus
can not be destroyed by any means.
How many pages there are in the journal is currently unknown as
each staff member that has looked into more than three pages has
seemingly [REDACTED]. It is generally assumed that the journal
consists of a maximum of 50 pages, each containing, at a first
glance, descriptions of various situations and locations during the
great war of [REDACTED].
Page #001, which is the subject of this memorandum, describes SOI #001
in what the author describes as an abandoned village in the
outskirts of a forest in anMYHEARTANDSOULFORTHECAUSE destination.
It is believed by Order researchers that this text and all other
pages in the journal include a code or a cipher that SOI #001
has left inside the pages that might lead to more information
regarding her position and [REDACTED].
As of [REDACTED], this code has not been cracked in its entirety due
to the book's way of protecting itself against research on it beyond
a certain point.

Addendum 001-001-A – Update to the deciphering procedures:

As of [DATA EXPUNGED], all research procedures on the journal and on
deciphering it's codes are to be immediately terminated and all
staff members below Doyen level are to be taken into incarceration
indefinitely due to the incident known as [DATA EXPUNGED].
In the aftermath of the incident, rebuilding efforts of the E.S.H.
Research facility ADETH have beenYOUDESERVETHIS and the Journal
has been contained in a facility in [REDACTED] with orders from the
High Doyen requiring it to be under surveillance at all times.
