One night, there was this young intelligent man laying under a tree waiting for the lunar

eclipse.
While looking at the sky, he was curious about how the stars and moon moves. He tried moving and
walking from north to south and discovered that the view of constellations changes as one travels.
When the lunar eclipse is happening, he noticed that the shadow of Earth in the moon was round, he
then assumed that the Earth is sphere. While writing his discoveries, he accidentally dropped his book.
He knew that it is only at the surface of a sphere that all objects fall straight down, this added to his
theory that the Earth is sphere. He continued to study the Earth and the universe because he became
curious about what it can look like outside the Earth.
Since the stars, sun, and moon revolves around the Earth, he thought that the Earth is the center
of the universe. He then divided the universe into two realms, the terrestrial realm and celestial realm.
He said that in the terrestrial realm there are four elements, the air, water, fire, and earth which were
acted on by two forces, gravity (the tendency of earth and water to sink) and levity (the tendency of air
and fire to rise). For the celestial sphere there is the fifth element which is the ether, he described the
ether as the void that fills the universe.
