Project Title:
Project ABA (Abot-Buklat Aklat) – Sharing a Light

Problem Statement:
Acquiring information resources is a core activity of libraries. Despite
government claims that it has been increasing the budget for education, still the
public school system is hardly coping with the shortages such as lack of reference
materials. RLSAA has insufficient source of learning materials in the school
library. Teachers are imparting knowledge about library and its function but there
is no application about the lesson because there are no enough materials for the
students.

Project Objective Statement:

1. To create awareness regarding the importance of sharing and giving
books for the improvement of the library.
2. To gather commitment and support from stakeholders through
soliciting educational reading materials suited for the school library.
3. To be able to impart knowledge about the use of the library and to
develop the habit of reading for the improvement of academic
performance.

Root Cause:
Insufficient learning materials in the library.
