The cathodic protection industry’s most
widely used hand reel. A convenient,
stamped aluminum reel with an anti-
backlash drag. Lightweight, with heavy
duty construction, the AGRA wire reel
measures approximately 8 inch in
diameter, but weighs only 1 lb. The reel
comes with a banana jack terminal for
connection to the main wire and a 3 ft.
straight lead wire with a banana plug on
each end and one alligator clip.
The AGRA wire reel can be ordered in many

combinations with the main wire we have available.
Please note the wire capacities next to the wire
size. The main wire, if ordered with the reel, will be
soldered to the terminal, ready to use upon receipt.
AGRA Antimony Electrode

Allows you to determine soil pH quickly and easily. This Antimony
Electrode is used in conjunction with a copper sulfate electrode to
form a pH sensitive cell. The voltage developed between the
two electrodes in contact with the same electrolyte
produces a voltage related to the pH of the electrolyte. $

MODEL AC-15 AC Warning System
Measurement of AC voltage potentials between structure and ground for job
site safety of personnel. The AC-15 A/C Warning System is an instrument
which detects potential differences of 15V AC or more on a structure (NACE
International SP0177 (2007)). Designed for pipelines running through high
voltage electrical transmission corridors (right-of-ways), if AC voltage of 15

RF/IT Above Ground Insulator Tester

T&R Insulator testers for determining effectiveness of above
ground and below ground insulating flanges. The RF/IT tests
the effectiveness of above ground insulating flanges using radio
frequency signals. The RF/IT is not affected by DC voltage or
current on either side of the isolator, so protective CP does not
need to be removed for testing. Probes come complete with steel
needle points to make contact with the flange through any coating.

CE-IT Below Ground Insulator Tester

The Model CE/IT is used to test the effectiveness of buried insulators
from test leads attached to buried structures. The CE/IT is not
affected by DC voltages or current and CP does not need to be
removed for testing. The CE/IT is also a reference tool to assist in
determining casing shorts. The CE/IT conducts a 20 second load test

and will show results as “Good”, “Bad - Short” or
“Bad - Open” (in the case of a broken lead).

finding shorts in distribution systems as well as locating long runs of
transmission pipeline. This instrument is a favorite of gas companies

Solid-State Decoupler
Using proven, solid-state construction, but with new production and packaging
techniques, the innovation of the SSD line adds value by lowering the cost of applying
protection products to industry. With ratings for AC fault current and lightning, and the
ability to pass steady-state AC current, the device outperforms other technologies such
as metal oxide varistors, gapped arrestors, and polarization cells. A major application
of the SSD is in acting as a “Ground Mat Decoupler,” by separating grounding mats
from pipelines (to improve cathodic protection) while still providing over-voltage
protection for workers.

The PCR is a solid-state device designed to simultaneously provide DC
decoupling and AC continuity/grounding when used with cathodically
protected structures, such as pipelines, tanks, grounding systems and
cable casings.
Gradient Control Mat

Personnel working near pipelines can be subject to electrical
hazards such as lightning, AC fault current/voltage, and
steady-state AC induction. “Ground mats” have typically been
used at above ground pipeline structures where these hazards
exist, but past designs do not provide adequate protection
against lightning conditions.
