Plan of investigating
The title of my portfolio will be based on “love “and my sub-topic was
“how do people fall/finds love? I will work within a group to, chose
topic and then found individual information for our sub-topics. The
reason why I selected my sub-topic is that as a teenager, it’s a stage
where we will start to experience feelings and in order to have an idea
about it or how to react. I went to do further research on love. The
materials I would choose comprise of a poem , song an article. the
materials was sourced from the internet . These pieces were analyzed
paying close attention to literary devices, use of language and writers
intention. the information changes my perspective on love because I
thought that real life situations relating to love were easy an after
researching an going in depth, I realized there are many consequnces
that come with “love”.the lack of resources,internet access an
cooperation interfered with my research.by consulting my teacher I
was successful in minimizing problems that occurred .
In my understanding from the three pieces people fall/find love when
people have shared values, life experiences and same age. some ways
in which this topic has change my understanding of how people
fall/find love is when they have good posture which makes one more
inviting and attractive and have the same likeliness as each other and
to be able to talk to each other and have positive attitudes tend to
draw the opposite sex. This information makes sense it showed me that
people tend to like each other when they have positive attitudes and an
open mind. They tend to have a greater understanding and a closer
relationship with each other.

In the poem I understand that the speaker is opening out about his
feelings to someone that he loves and he wants her/him to know that
he will forever love her and that person is a treasure to him and he
cherishes that person with his soul and have can’t live without to her.

In the song I understood that the writer is falling in love with a person
and he doesn’t mind what other people say about him and who he
loves and he will give his whole life for her.

In my topic ,on “how do people fall/find love ,I have selected a poem an

in the poem literary devices are portrayed such as a metaphor, for
example this treasure of love.’ The use of personification in , ’my love
continues to grow.’ Flashbacks are also portrayed ‘whenever we say
goodbye.’ Emotive language is presented is presented in this poem
such as ‘I love you more and more,’ he is expressing feelings for her.

In the song ‘falling in love with you ’literary devices are presented .such
as simile ’like a river flows.’ Repletion is also portrayed to show the
point and meaning to the song .the artiste is comparing what a wise
man said to reality.

In this article they have pointed out nine ways people fall/fin love.th
article gives you tip on how to fall/find love with someone for example
look for someone with common qualities that you have. The article
explains to the regular on what to do for someone to fall in love with
you.

At first my group and I decided in the topic”astrology” because we

taought it was intriguing. We tries researching on soe ppaices nut
unfortunately wee w were uunsuccessful.

On consulting with our techer she advised us to use an easier topic.we

then chose the topic ‘love’. We were able to obtain sub topis. I chse the
sub topic ‘how do people fall/find love.

I first went to the libraryand looked through magazines,newspapers

and boks on love. I was unable to achieve my goal on collecting any
information on my sub topic. I sought assistance from my cousin who
also did this topic.he guided me and gev me some websites to take a
look at. I gt two of my pieces from the websites to takes a look at . I got
two of my pieces fromm the website he gave me. I did my own
research at home and found a little sitable song pertaining to my sub
topic.
