To manage an NE, the corresponding NE version component package must be installed on the
CME. For the component package that is required for the installation, see section "Related NE
Product Versions" in the iManager U2000-CME V200R015C10SPC240Release Notes.
After the CME is upgraded, the previously installed CME components are automatically
uninstalled. You need to reinstall the CME components.
Contact Huawei technical support engineers to obtain the software versions, tool software,
and related documents mentioned in this document.
1.2 Precautions
Operations performed on the OSMU for an ATAE server differ from those on a Sun server.
You must perform OSMU-related operations based on the actual server types.
In the U2000 remote HA system (Sun Remote HA System Veritas), see section " Installing the
CME Component in the Remote HA System (Sun Remote HA System Veritas)" in the
iManager U2000-CME V200R015C10SPC240 Component Installation Guide.
Method 2: The package of CME components is released with the NE version. If an NE patch
is released later than the latest CME version, the NE patch component for the
CME will be released together with the NE patch version on Huawei support
website. The related CME versions are described in the related NE release notes.
If an NE patch is released earlier than the latest CME version, the NE patch component for
the CME will be released together with the latest CME version on Huawei support website. In
this case, you need to use the NE patch component released with the CME version.
Contact Huawei technical support engineers to obtain the package, perform the following
steps:
1 In the address box of Internet Explorer, enter http://support.huawei.com.
6 In the displayed window, click Log In.
7 Specify the values for User Name, Password, and Verify Code, and click Login.
8 choose Support > Software > Wireless Network.
9 Obtain the software package of the required NE version under Wireless Network to
obtain the NE patch component.
3.1 Precautions
Do not switch to another window before confirming that the components have been
successfully installed.
Installing a component takes 10 to 45 minutes, depending on the component version and
server configurations. The time required for installing components in batches is less than the
total time required for installing each component separately.
By default, the Installed CME Component tab page is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.2.
You can upload multiple CME component packages one by one and install them in batches.
If the network connecting speed is low or restricted, you can upload the component package to the
/export/home/CME/Component_osmu directory on the U2000 active server in binary mode by
using FileZilla as user ossuser. Then, click Refresh. The uploaded package is displayed in the CME
Component Packages to Be Installed area. For details about how to use FileZilla, see section
4.4"How Do I Use FileZilla to Transfer Files?"
The component packages that are displayed in the CME Component Packages to Be Installed area
do not need to be uploaded again.
If you select multiple component packages, click the required component packages in the CME
Component Packages to Be Installed area one by one.
You can view the component installation process in the CME Component Installation Log
area during installation, as shown in Figure 1.2. If the logs contain error or fail, contact
Huawei technical support engineers.
2 Click OK in the displayed Reminding dialog box after successful installation, as shown
in Figure 2.1.
You can directly view the installation logs in the CME Component Installation Log area. If
there are a large number of logs, you can click Download in the lower left corner of this area
and download the logs to the local PC. The downloaded log file is compressed and named
cme_component_installlog.tar. Then, decompress the cme_component_installlog.tar file
and view installation logs in the install_cmeccomponent_output.log file. If the installation
logs contain error or fail, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
----End
Step 13 Click Query. In the displayed OSS service list, check the CmeServer service status.
1 If the CmeServer service status is running, the CME service has started, as shown in
Figure 1.1.
2 If the CmeServer service status is not running, the CME service is not started. Select
CmeServer and click Start. If the problem persists, contact Huawei technical support
engineers.
----End
4 FAQs
If the window shown in Figure 2.1 is not displayed, solve the problem by referring to section
"What Should I Do When the Web Browser Prompts Certificate Error or Untrusted Website?"
in the iManager U2000-CME V200R015C10SPC240 Installation and Upgrade Guide(Web
Mode).
2. Type the user name ossuser, password, and verification code and click Login.
----End
The PC used for logging in to the OSMU needs to be connected to an external LAN switch
using network cables.
If Internet Explorer is used, add http://IP address of the U2000 server and https://IP address
of the U2000 server as the trusted sites.
Portal: Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted sites > Sites > Add.
2. Enter the user name admin, password, and verification code, and click Login.
----End
Click OK if the system displays the information shown in Figure 2.3 when you navigate to the OSS
Management Tool page on the OSMU.
----End
Prerequisites
You have obtained the IP address of the destination U2000 server.
The communication between the PC and the destination U2000 server is normal.
You have obtained FileZilla.zip and decompressed it to the PC.
You have obtained FileZilla.zip at http://support.huawei.com and decompressed it to the
PC.
To download the FileZilla tool, you can visit http://support.huawei.com and choose Support
> Tools > Mini-tool Software > Core Network Product Line > Wireless-OSS > iManger
M2000-II > Public Tools.
You have obtained the user password of the destination U2000 server.
Procedure
Step 1 Double-click filezilla.exe to start the tool.
Parameter Description
You can ignore the dialog box displayed during the connection. Click OK in the dialog box.
After the connection is successful, the Remote Site area displays directory information on the
remote server.
Step 6 In the Remote site area, set the destination directory on the U2000 server. For example, /opt.
After you set the directory, the Remote site area displays all files stored in this directory.
Step 7 In the Local site area, set the source directory on the PC. For example, D:\FILE.
After you set the directory, the Local site area displays all files stored in this directory.
Step 8 Perform the following operations as required.
Purpose Operation
Upload files In the Local site area, right-click the file you want to upload and choose
Upload from the shortcut menu.
Download In the Remote site area, right-click the file you want to download and
files choose Download from the shortcut menu.
If the upload or download fails, click the Failed transfers tab in the lower left area of the FileZilla
window. Then, right-click the file that fails to be transferred and choose Reset and requeue selected
files from the shortcut menu to resume the file transfer.
----End
If any NE served by the current component exists in the current data area, you must manually
delete the NE on the CME client before uninstalling the component.
If any NE served by the current component exists in a planned data area, the uninstallation program
automatically deletes the NE from the planned data area and then uninstalls the component.
