Sikagard 700 S (ID)
Impregnation for Concrete and Masonry
Uses Impregnation for mineral substrates such as concrete and plaster surfaces, natural
stone, aerated concrete, brickwork and blockwork, asbestos cement, mineral paint
coats etc. against driving rain and dampness.
Advantages SIKAGARD 700 S ID penetrates deeply into the substrates, dries tackfree and is
highly alkaline resistant. It develops a very durable chemical cohesion with
silicates in the substrate.
It provides a very good impregnation against rain; it does not, however, stop
diffusion of vapour. The appearance of the structure is not changed.
Coverage 0.2 kg/m2 per application for substrates with normal absorbency
Normally 2 x coats. Apply wet on wet
Material consumption and the number of applications depend entirely on the
surface condition and porosity; in case of doubt a test should be carried out in
order to find the exact material consumption and number of applications
required.
Important When applying SIKAGARD 700 S ID care must be taken where there are fitted
cable lines, plastic control panels or similar. Where as PVC is resistant to
SIKAGARD 700 S ID, polystryrene elements and various synthetic rubber parts
may be damaged.
It is recommended that anything of this nature should be fixed after the application
of SIKAGARD 700 S ID or be protected adequately to prevent contamination
during application.
Waiting Time SIKAGARD 700 S ID is applied wet on wet. In the case of top coats with Icosit
Between Coats CONCRETE COSMETIC a waiting time of at least 5 hours must be observed
Caution In a liquid state the products and the thinner contaminate water and should not be
poured into drains, water and ground .
During application in closed rooms, adequate ventilation should be provided
