INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE COMMITMENT REVIEW FORM

I. ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION

Since the primary target of Alternative Learning System is to provide education to our
out- of- school youths, adults and children, conducting assemblies to increase awareness to some Local
Government Unit (LGU), Non- Government Organization (NGO), Parents, Private Individuals and
Out-of-School Youths will enable them to internalize and conceptualize the programs of Alternative
Learning System. These are essential for clarity purposes on ALS programs that will be significant on
the target learners. Implementation of programs and objectives will be clearly presented.
Various activities and programs are implemented to showcase the advocacy of Alternative
Learning System. By conducting house to house, motorcade, posting of streamers, announcements
to churches, schools and barangays and lastly by giving referrals or ALS learners will invite other
OSY to clearly comprehend programs that will sustain the capabilities in terms of education and
skills of the target learners. Through these wide campaign, Dep-Ed’s Alternative Learning System
will be able to convey its vision and mission of producing holistic and lifelong learners since there
are numbers of out-of-school youth, adult and children in the community that are in need of
education. In addition, this reminds that education is for all and no one should left behind. ALS
programs are intended for the learners be more equipped with the knowledge and skills since all
are in the fast changing world thus, these will give chances for ALS learners to be improved and
developed.
III . Learning Outcomes for ALS

1. Organized Learning groups of 75 ALS learners

During calendar year, ALS Mobile Teacher and DALSC should target at least 75
learners enrolled in the different programs of ALS. These comprises of Basic Literacy Program (BLP),
A&E Secondary and Elementary. There are delivery modes such as face to face, independent learning
and home-based tutorials for those working learners. ALS MTs and DALSCs will seek what kind of
delivery mode suited for the learners for them to catch up with the learning sessions.
II. Materials Development and Adaptation

1. Identified learning materials needed for ALS sessions

2. Produced learning materials needed for ALS sessions
3. Utilized learning materials needed for ALS sessions
A 21st century teacher + active strategies = a 21st century learner. This is the equation of
a 21st century teaching. As a teacher, the use of materials and resources of the teaching and learning
process should be efficient wherein there is an optimum consumption of available materials and
resources without spending much of money, effort and time. The innovation of the learning resources
that will capture the interests and needs of the ALS learners must be highly improved for the learners
be motivated in attending every learning session.

Printed and E-modules are commonly used learning materials of Alternative Learning
System. MT’s and DALSCs are extracting learning materials available in the community since ALS
caters multi-grade classes, effective and efficient utilization of the available learning materials are
maximized to sustain learning.
