NDDC CREDIT/ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT SCHEME


Expression of Interest (EOI) for Appointment as State Consultants

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is soon to commence the disbursement of
Entrepreneurial Credit to beneficiaries of its Skills Acquisition Programme. The
Commission therefore requires the services of State Consultants to work with the Regional Consultant
to ensure the successful implementation, monitoring and evaluation and growth of the Scheme in the
nine (9) States of the Niger Delta Region.

QUALIFICATION /REQUIREMENT

The firms must be registered with the CAC and its principal officers who should be indigenes and
located in the State they are applying to supervise, must possess a good honors first degree from
a recognized University preferably in the Social and Management Sciences, etc. A good post graduate
qualification together with advance management training in
Business Administration will be an additional advantage.

EXPERIENCE

The Principal Officer(s) of the firm should have not less than 5years post qualification working
experience in Development or Consultancy institution of comparable or superior standing and
must have held a position not below Program Coordinator or its equivalent.
The candidate must also show evidence of relevant capacity in the following areas:
Micro Credit Administration and Enterprise Development
Participatory Credit Appraisal and Recovery
Entrepreneurial Mentorship Program
Participatory Project/Program Monitoring and Evaluation (PAD)
Training and Capacity Building Programs
Accounting Principles/Record Keeping
Project Reporting

SCOPE OF WORK

Mobilize and sensitize beneficiary Cooperative Societies/Business Units in the States


Assist the Cooperative Societies/Business Units in the development of their Business plans/budget
Track the investment of benefiting Cooperatives Societies/Business Units.
Monitor and accelerate the processing and disbursement of loan to benefitting Cooperative Societies/
Business Units.
Liaise with the Regional Consultant and the partnering Banks in the State.
Assist the partnering Banks in loan recovery
Facilitate the formation of new Cooperative Societies that will be qualify for the next phase of the
scheme in the state
Carry out such duties, from time to time, that may be assigned by the NDDC Regional Consultant and
the NDDC Directorate of Commercial & Industrial Development.
