Acts 9:36-42
Tabitha: Delivered from Death

A certain disciple: Tabitha (Heb); Dorcas The church, the Body of Christ, a creation of
(Gk) =gazelle. Resided in Joppa = fair to beauty and grace (Eph 4:7, Rev 21:9-11)
Him

Full of good works and charitable deeds Church created in Christ Jesus for good
works (Eph 2:10)

In those days became sick and died Members of the Body of Christ on earth still
experience death (Heb 9:27)

Washed Tabitha’s body Christ sanctifies, cleanses the church with

washing of water by the Word (Eph 5:26)

Two men implored Peter not to delay Church eager for Christ’s return (Rev 22:20)
coming to them

Women showing Peter clothing Tabitha had Works of church will be judged by Christ
made them (Rom 14:10-12, 1 Cor 3:8-15, 2 Cor 5:10)

Peter said to the body, “Tabitha, arise” Jesus calls His Bride (1 Thes 4:16)

Tabitha opened eyes, saw Peter, sat up; The dead in Christ will rise first (1 Thes
Peter lifted Tabitha up 4:16)

Peter calls the saints Those who are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them (1 Thes 4:17)

Peter presents Tabitha alive to them Together, meet the Lord in the air; a joyous
reunion (1 Thes 4:17-18)

Became known throughout all Joppa; many Glorified church witness to those on earth
believed on the Lord during Kingdom Age (Rev 21:1-2, 23-24)
