MSc European Forestry mission

MSc EF responds to the needs of forest management and policy


making. The focus of the programme is on the international
dimensions of forest resource management and utilisation, supported
by sound understanding of ecological conditions and socio-economic
dynamics in Europe.

The MSc European Forestry graduates are highly demanded by the


international labour market. The majority of our graduates are
currently emploeyd around the world by organisations such as:
• forest/nature management agencies and governmental bodies
• research institutions
• forest enterprices in saw milling, paper and pulp industries
• environmental NGO’s
1st year studies

The first year provides the students with a complete background in


European forestry. Students attend courses that are organised by all
the seven consortium universities at different locations of Europe.
During the first year, students also familiarise themselves with
European forest institutions by completing applied periods in forest
organisations of their choice.

Applications

Requirements to apply for the MSc EF are:


• Bachelor’s degree in forest science or
related field, and
• good command of English (TOEFL 213,
IELTS 6.0)
Additional points can be earned through
• motivation and recommendation letters,
• international experience, and
• forestry related work experience

Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available for both


the European and non-European nationals!

Common application period for all the nationals is

1st of September – 31st of December
