 San Nicola si lega al
IL SANTO mare fin dalla sua
nascita. Secondo le
CHE VIENE fonti, il Santo nasce
tra il 261 ed il 280
DAL MARE d.C. a Pàtara di
Licia, sulle coste
della Turchia. Appartenente ad una famiglia nobile, Nicola
rimane orfano in tenera età. Sceglie di destinare la ricca
eredità ai più bisognosi, mostrando già la sua natura di
benefattore. Lascia la sua città natale per trasferirsi a
Myra, sul mar Mediterraneo, dove viene acclamato dal
popolo come vescovo agli inizi del 300 d.C.
Durante la sua attività apostolica viene imprigionato
a causa della persecuzione di Diocleziano nel 305 d.C.
e partecipa al Concilio ecumenico di Nicea del 325 d.C.
Muore a Myra il 6 dicembre del 343 d.C. Più di sei secoli
dopo, sarebbe iniziato il suo viaggio verso Bari e le rive
d’Occidente.
Un amore grande come il mare lega San Nicola ai suoi
devoti.
Il Santo sceglie di dedicarsi alle anime il cui destino sembra
segnato: marinai in difficoltà nelle acque del Mediterraneo,
innocenti condannati a morte, ragazze senza dote, orfani e
famiglie indigenti.
Quello di Nicola non è un mero supporto spirituale.
Egli, sempre a fianco di chi lo invoca con fiducia, dona
un sostegno concreto fatto di parole e azioni. Si racconta
che una volta alcuni marinai e pellegrini, mentre erano in
navigazione, si trovarono in mezzo a una forte tempesta.
Sbalzati dalle onde violente, erano convinti di andare
incontro alla morte. Allora i naviganti invocarono l’aiuto di
San Nicola che apparve nel momento di maggiore angoscia.
Oltre a confortarli e incoraggiarli il Santo si mise anche a
lavorare con loro spostandosi sulla nave dove c'era bisogno,
2 cioè tra le gomene e i pali, portando la nave in salvo. Questa
leggenda racchiude il significato profondo del legame tra il
Santo e la gente.
Nicola, infatti, è la bussola del suo popolo per affrontare le
tempeste della vita.

orphelin quand il était petit.
Il choisit de donner son héritage aux plus démunis, en
montrant déjà sa nature de bienfaiteur. Il quitte sa ville
natale pour déménager à Myre, sur la Méditerranée, où il est
proclamé évêque par le peuple en 300 après J.C. Pendant
son activité apostolique il est emprisonné à cause des
persécutions de Dioclétien en 305 après J.C et il participe
au Concile œcuménique de Nicée en 325 après J.C. Il meurt
à Myre le 6 décembre 343 après J.C. A partir de ce moment,
plus de six siècles après, aurait commencé son voyage vers
Bari et les rives d’Occident. Un amour grand comme la mer.
C’est ce qui lie Saint Nicolas à ses fidèles.
Le Saint choisit de se dédier aux âmes dont le destin
semble dessiné : marins en difficulté dans les eaux de la
Méditerranée, innocents condamnés à mort, filles sans dot,
orphelins et familles pauvres. Ce que Nicolas peut offrir,
ce n’est pas qu’un simple support spirituel. Toujours aux
côtés de ceux qui l’invoquent avec foi, il donne un soutien
concret, fait de paroles et actions. On dit qu’une fois certains
marins et pèlerins, lors de la navigation, rencontrèrent
une tempête. Poussés par les violentes vagues, ils étaient
voués à la mort. Les marins invoquèrent alors à l’aide
de Saint Nicolas qui apparut dans le plus grand moment
de détresse. Outre au réconfort et aux encouragements
apportés par le Saint, il se mit à l’œuvre circulant sur
le bateau où il fallait de l’aide, c’est-à-dire entre les
haussières et les poteaux, ramenant le bateau en sécurité.
Cette légende recèle le sens profond du lien entre le Saint et
les gens. Nicolas, en effet, est la boussole de son peuple pour
combattre les tempêtes de la vie.

WHO COMES According to the
sources, the Saint
FROM THE SEA was born between
261 and 280 AD at
Pàtara of Lycia, on the coastline of Turkey.
Belonging to a noble family, Nicholas becomes orphan
when he was still a child. He decides to earmark his rich
inheritance to the needy people, an early display of his
philantrophic nature.
He leaves his birth place to move to Myra, on the
Mediterranean sea, where he is acclaimed from the
people as bishop at the beginning of 300 AD. During
his apostolic activity he is imprisoned because of the
Diocletian’s persecution during 305 AD and takes part of
the ecumenical council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Dies in Myra
on December the 6th 343 AD. Six centuries after that date
his journey to Bari and the Western coasts will start. A love
as wide as the sea. That’s the kind of love that links Saint
Nicholas to his worshippers.
The Saint chooses to consecrate himself to the souls whose
destiny seems already written: sailors in distress in the
Mediterranean waters, innocents sentenced to death, girls
without dowry, orphans and poor families. Nicholas’ is not
a mere spiritual support. He, always side by side with who
prays to him with faith, gives a tangible support made of
words and actions. People say that one time some sailors
and pilgrims, while they were sailing, found themselves in
the middle of a terrible storm. Hurled from one side to an
other by the violent waves, they were sure they were about
to die. Then they prayed Saint Nicholas to help them when
all of a sudden, in the scariest moment, he appeared.
The Saint not only comforted and encouraged them but
also started working with them moving from one side to the
other of the ship, where help was needed the most, between
hawsers and poles, pulling the ship to safety. This legend
holds the deepest meaning of the bond between the Saint
and people. Nicholas, indeed, is the compass of his people,
to face the storms of life.

Nicola, der aus einem Adelsgeschlecht stammt, wurde
Waisenkind wenn er noch ein Kleinkind war. Die
Entscheidung, sein Reichtum den Bedürftigen zu
hinterlassen, zeigt schon sein großherziges Geist.
Er verließ seine Heimatstadt, um nach Myra umzuziehen,
am Mittelmeer, wo er anfangs 300 Bischof von den
Bewohnern verkünden wurde. Während der Jahre
seiner Mission, wurde er eingesperrt, wegen Dioklezians
Verfolgung, und nahm er 325 n.Chr. am ökumenischen
Konzil in Nicäa teil. Er starb am 6. Dezember 343 in Myra.
Fang von dort nach mehr als sechs Jahreshunderte später
seine Reise nach Bari und die Küsten des Westens an.
Das, das Nicola mit seinen Gläubigen verbindet, ist eine
Liebe so groß wie das Meer. Der Heiligen beschließt,
sich Seelen zu widmen, wessen Schicksal besiegelt ist:
Seemänner, die sich auf offenem Meer in Schwierigkeiten
befinden, Unschuldige zum Tode verurteilt, Mädchen ohne
Mitgift, Waisenkinder und arme Familien. San Nicolas Hilfe
ist mehr als nur eine geistliche Hilfe. Er hilft immer alle,
die um seine Hilfe bitten und verschenkt seine konkrete
Unterstützung in Wort und Tat. Es wird erzählt, dass einige
Seemänner und Pilgern einmal, während des Segels, in
einem starken Sturm waren. Geschüttelte von den großen
Wellen, glaubten sie, sie sterben würden. Also beruft sie sich
auf San Nicolas Hilfe, der in der Not erscheint. Nachdem
er sie beruhigte, arbeitete auch der Heiligen mit ihnen
zwischen Trosse und Pfahle, um das Schiff in Sicherheit
zu bringen. Diese Legende enthält die tiefe Bedeutung der 3
Verbindung zwischen den Heiligen und den Menschen.
Nicola ist heutzutage der symbolische Kompass seines
Volkes, um die Stürme des Lebens anzugehen.

I QUADRI
Primo quadro: Il Pellegrino di Rostov - L'Oriente e l'Occidente
Barlaam di Rostov è stato il primo pellegrino giunto a Bari
per venerare le sacre reliquie del Santo di Myra. Guidato dalle
apparizioni in sogno di Nicola, il monaco Barlaam ha affrontato
il lungo e pericoloso viaggio dai confini orientali dell'Europa alle
coste del Mediterraneo. San Nicola infonde coraggio, suggerisce di
scacciare le paure e affrontare a viso aperto barriere e differenze.
Nel suo nome Oriente e Occidente si incontrano per elevare al
cielo un'unica preghiera per l'umanità e per la pace.
Secondo quadro: L’uccellino
Un grazioso uccellino volteggia sulle teste dei 62 marinai di
ritorno da Myra, colti di sorpresa da una terribile tempesta che
sembra suggerire il loro ineluttabile destino. L'uccellino si posa
sulla spalla del giovane marinaio Nicola, figlio del capitano
Alberto. Quindi si dirige verso le reliquie del Santo. La tempesta si
acquieta, gli animi a bordo si rasserenano. La nave torna a solcare
la rotta per Bari con rinnovata fiducia e speranza. La grandezza
del Santo è nei piccoli segni. Sta a noi, veri uomini, essere come il
capitano Alberto e imparare a coglierli.
Terzo quadro: L'Universalità del Santo di Myra
Ecumenico e Universale, il messaggio di Nicola è caleidoscopio di
identità che si incontrano, dialogano e collaborano per spronare
uomini e donne a immaginare e creare bellezza. Parole universali
di attenzione e cura, pane per lo spirito, offerte al pubblico da
uomini di ogni età. Amore e convivialità, parole di pace e tensione
verso l'altro, secondo l'insegnamento di un grande uomo della
nostra terra: Don Tonino Bello. Parole, pensieri, intime speranze
condivise dal popolo di Bari nel giorno 6 maggio, infuse del
profumo della speranza e della bellezza della vita, saranno portate
in corteo da un gruppo di donne e offerte al Santo come preghiera
universale. Mettersi in ascolto, come suggerisce il Sinodo 2018.

Quarto quadro: I generali
Tre generali vengono ingiustamente condannati a morte. San
Nicola appare in sogno all'Imperatore e difende gli innocenti. Al
risveglio, l'Imperatore capisce l'errato giudizio, e con un gesto di
estrema saggezza e coraggio, annulla la sentenza. La verità e la
giustizia sono più importanti dell'orgoglio.
Quinto quadro: Il mare in tempesta
Mare in burrasca. A bordo di una nave in lotta con le onde,
viaggiatori e pellegrini invocano l'aiuto del Santo. San Nicola
appare subito sul ponte. Si rimbocca le maniche, si mette al
lavoro tra pali, gomene e funi e incita tutti quanti affinché la nave
venga portata in salvo. Cosa che puntualmente accade. Il Santo
intercede per accompagnare e guidare gli uomini di buona volontà
nelle tempeste della vita. Perché solo chi impara a riemergere
dalle tormente dell'anima con speranza e spirito di sacrificio può
crescere e diventare uomo forte e consapevole.
Sesto quadro: La Caravella: il popolo ed il mare
I 62 marinai della traslazione rappresentano l'intero popolo di
Bari. È il popolo di Bari che ha sostenuto la spedizione a Myra,
e sarà il popolo di Bari, anche oggi, a sostenere il viaggio della
Caravella e del Santo. Solo se il popolo collabora, la Caravella
continuerà a solcare il mare e giungerà a Bari.
SCENES
First scene: Rostov Pilgrim – The West and the East
Barlaam from Rostov has been the first pilgrim who came to
Bari to venerate the holy relics of Myra’s Saint. Leaded by the
apparitions of Nicholas in his dreams, the monk Barlaam faced
the long and dangerous journey from Europe eastern borders to
the Mediterranean coasts. Saint Nicholas instills bravery, suggests
to overcome fears and face barriers and differences. In his name
East and West meet to elevate to the sky in one big prayer for the
humanity and for peace.
Second scene: The lil’ bird
A cute little bird flew on the heads of the 62 sailors coming back
from Myra, caught in a terrible storm that seems to suggest them
the worst possible destiny. The little bird lands on the shoulder of
the young sailor Nicholas, son of the captain Albert. Then moves
to the relics of the Saint. The storm starts to end, everybody on
board calm down. The ship can return to its journey to Bari with
new faith and hopes. The gratness of the Saint is in the small
signs. It's up to us, true men, to be like the capitain Albert and
learn to get them.
Third scene: The University of the Saint from Myra
Ecumenic and universal, Nicholas’ message is kaleidoscope
of identities that meet, talk to each other and collaborate to
encourage men and women to imagine and create beauty.
Universal words of attention and care, bread for the soul, offered
to the public from men of every age. Love and conviviality, words
of peace and ascent, according to the teaching of our land great
man: Don Tonino Bello. Words, thoughts, intimate hopes shared
by Bari people during the 6th of May, infused in the scent of hope
and of the beauty of life, will be brought in procession by a group
of women and offered to the Saint as an universal prayer. Starting
to listen, as suggested by the 2018 Synod.
Fourth scene: Generals
Three generals are unfairly accused and sentenced to death.
Saint Nicholas appears in the Emperor’s dream and defends the
innocents. When he wakes up, the emperor understands that he
misjudged them and with a act of extreme wisdom and bravery,
voids the sentence. Truth and justice are more important than
pride.
Fifth scene: The sea during the storm
The sea during the storm. On a ship fighting against the waves,
travelers and pilgrims pray for the Saint’s help. Saint Nicholas
suddenly appears on the deck. Gets to work, works between poles,
hawsers and ropes and encourages everybody to pull the ship to
safety. And it works. The Saint helps bringing and guiding good
will men during the storms of life. Because only who learns to
arise from the storms of the soul with hope and sacrifice spirit can
grow and become a strong and aware man.
Sixth picture: The Caravel, the people and the sea
The 62 sailors of the translation represent all the people from
Bari. It’s the people from Bary who supported the expedition
to Myra, and the people from Bari will, even today, support the
journey of the Caravel and the Saint. Only if people collborate the
Caravel will keep on sailing the sea that leads to Bari.
TABLEAUX
Premier tableau: le pèlerin de Rostov - l’Orient et l’Occident
Barlaam de Rostov a été le premier pèlerin à arriver à Bari afin de
vénérer les reliques du Saint de Myre. Guidé par les apparitions
de Nicolas dans ses rêves, le moine Barlaam a dû faire un long
et dangereux voyage de l’Europe orientale jusqu’aux côtes
méditerranéennes. Saint Nicolas donne du courage, suggère
de chasser les peurs et combattre ouvertement barrières et
différences. En son nom, Orient et Occident s’embrassent pour
rehausser au ciel une prière pour l’humanité et la paix.
Deuxième tableau: le petit oiseau
Un joli petit oiseau survole les têtes des 62 marins de retour de
Myre, surpris par une terrible tempête qui leur semble suggérer
leur inévitable destin. Le petit oiseau se pose sur l’épaule du
jeune marin Nicolas, fils du capitaine Albert. Puis, il se dirige vers
les reliques du Saint. La tempête se calme, les âmes des marins
aussi. Le bateau continue sa route vers Bari avec foi et espoir. La
grandeur du Saint est dans les petits gestes. C’est à nous, les vrais
hommes, d’être comme le capitaine Albert; il suffit d’apprendre
à les reconnaitre.
Troisième tableau: l’Université du Saint de Myre
Œcuménique et Universel, le message de Nicolas est un
kaléidoscope d’identités qui se rencontrent, dialoguent et
collaborent pour inciter les hommes et les femmes à imaginer et
créer la beauté. Paroles universelles d’attention et de délicatesse,
pain pour l’esprit, offertes au public et aux hommes de tout âge.
Amour et convivialité, paroles de paix et tension vers autrui, selon
l’enseignement d’un grand homme de notre terre : Don Tonino
Bello. Paroles, pensées, intimes espoirs partagés par le peuple de
Bari le ¬6 mai, pleines de parfum d’espoir et de beauté de la vie,
seront portés en cortège d’un groupe de femmes et offerts au Saint
comme prière universelle. Se mettre à l’écoute, comme le suggère
le Synode 2018.

Quatrième tableau: les généraux
Trois généraux sont injustement condamnés à mort. Saint Nicolas
apparaît en rêve à l’Empereur et défend les innocents. Au réveil,
l’Empereur comprend le mauvais jugement, et avec un geste
d’extrême sagesse et courage, il annule la peine. La vérité et la
justice sont plus importants que l’orgueil.
Cinquième tableau: la mer en tempête
Mer en tempête. A bord d’un bateau qui lutte contre les vagues,
voyageurs et pèlerins invoquent à l’aide du Saint. Saint Nicolas
apparaît immédiatement sur le pont. Il remonte ses manches, il se
met au travail entre poteaux, haussières et cordes et incite tout le
monde à sauver le bateau. C’est ce qui se passe toujours.
Sixième tableau: La Caravelle, le peuple et la mer
Les 62 marins du transfert des reliques représentent l’ensemble
du peuple de Bari. C’est le peuple de Bari qui a soutenu le voyage

Erstes Bild: der Pilger von Rostov – Der Osten und der Westen.
Barlaam von Rostov war der erste Pilger, der in Bari angekommen
war, um die heilige Reliquie des Heiligen von Myra zu verehren.
Geführt von den Erscheinungen von Nicola in seinen Träumen,
hat der Monk Barlaam eine lange und gefährliche Reise von
den Grenzen des Osteuropas bis zu den Küsten des Mittelmeers
untergenommen. San Nicola flößt Mut ein und empfiehlt, alle
Ängste zu vertreiben und mutig Wände und Unterschieden
entgegenzutreten. In seinem Namen treffen sich Osten und
Westen, um gemeinsam um Frieden und für die Menschheit zu
beten.
Zweites Bild: Das Vögelchen.
Ein lieblicher Vogel kreist über die Köpfe der 62 Seemänner, die
auf die Rückreise von Myra waren. Ein Sturm überrascht sie und
ihr Schicksal scheint besiegelt zu sein. Das kleine Vögelchen setze
sich auf der Schulter des jungen Seemann Nicola, der Sohn des
Kapitäns Alberto. Dann steuert es auf die Reliquie von San Nicola
zu. Plötzlich beruhigt sich der Sturm und die Stimmung auf dem
Schiff klärt sich auf. Das Schiff kann mit neuer Hoffnung seine
Reise nach Bari fortsetzen. Die Erhabenheit des Heiligen befindet
sich in den kleinen Zeichen. Es liegt an uns, wie den Kapitän zu
sein: wahre Männer, die diese Zeichen ergreifen können.
Drittes Bild: die Universalität des Heiligen von Myra.
San Nicolas ökumenische und universale Meldung ist ein
Kaleidoskop, in dem sich verschiedene Kulturen treffen,
miteinander sprechen und zusammenarbeiten, um Männer und
Frauen zu fördern, sich Schönheit vorzustellen und schaffen.
Diese Wörter der Aufmerksamkeit und Pflege, die wichtig für
das Geist sind, werden der anwesenden Öffentlichkeit von
Männer jedes Altes geboten.Don Tonino Bello, unser Lehrer und
einer großartige Mann dieser Welt, hat uns die Wörter Liebe,
Gemeinschaft, Frieden und Hilfe unterrichtet. Am 6 Mai teilt
die ganze Bevölkerung von Bari Wörter und Gedanken voller
Hoffnung und Schönheit des Lebens, die von einer Gruppe von
Frauen in der Prozession als Geschenk zum Heiligen und als
universales Beten mitgebracht werden sein. Es wird von Synode
2018 vorgeschlagen, dass man sollte, den Menschen zuhören!
Viertes Bild: die Generale.
Drei Generale werden mit Unrecht zum Tod verurteilt. San Nicola
erscheint in den Träumen des Imperators und verteidigt die
Unschuldige. Als er aufwacht, versteht der Imperator sein falsches
Urteil, also widerruft er es dann mutig und klugerweise. Wahrheit
und Justiz sind wichtiger als Stolz.
Fünftes Bild: der stürmische Meer.
Das Meer ist stürmisch. Auf einem Schiff zwischen großen und
heftigen Wellen, bitten Pilgern und Reisenden um Hilfe den
Heiligen. San Nicola erscheint sofort auf die Schiffbrücke. Er
krempelt sich die Ärmel hoch und fängt an, zwischen Tauen,
Pfähle und Seile zu arbeiten. Nicola fordert die andere Reisende
dazu auf, das Schiff in Sicherheit zu bringen und schließlich
schaffen sie es. Nur wer erlernt, der Kummer der Seele mit
Hoffnung und Opferbereitschaft zu überwinden, kann sich
aufwachsen und ein stärker und selbstbewusster Mann werden.
Sechstes Bild: die Karavelle: das Volk und der Meer
Die 62 Seemänner der Übertragung vertreten die ganze
Bevölkerung von Bari. Die Bevölkerung von Bari hat die
Versendung nach Myra unterstützt und bisher die Reise der
Karavelle und des Heiligen unterstutzt. Die Karavelle kann
andere Reisen aufs Meer machen, nur ob die Bevölkerung daran
zusammenarbeitet.

GLI SPETTACOLI
PALAZZO DEL GOVERNO. PIAZZA LIBERTÀ
San Nicola viene dal mare. Aria, terra e acqua evocano il profondo
rapporto di San Nicola con il Mare. L'acqua è l'elemento
principe di San Nicola: l'acqua del mare che lo ha portato a Bari;
l'acqua dei mari dei marinai, naviganti, commercianti, forestieri
e viaggiatori di cui il Santo è patrono; l'acqua della Manna, da
sempre fonte di speranza e cura. Gli elementi si uniscono per
creare uno spettacolo originale in saluto al Santo e al suo popolo.
BASILICA DI SAN NICOLA
Sul sagrato della Basilica confluiscono le testimonianze celebrate
in Corteo per il saluto finale: i timpanisti, gli sbandieratori, i
quadri danzati e la Caravella con l'Icona del Santo, tutti insieme
in un tripudio di immagini, suoni e movimenti. Le tre sfere della
provvidenza, simbolo del Santo che varca i confini fra le religioni,
si presentano dinanzi alla Basilica. L'uccellino annuncia l'arrivo
del Corteo in Basilica, il rinnovato rito, la rinnovata celebrazione.
Al termine del lungo viaggio dalla Russia, Barlaam di Rostov, il
primo pellegrino, giungerà finalmente al cospetto delle reliquie
del Santo. Infine, la voce narrante di Pino Insegno declamerà
il messaggio ancora prepotentemente attuale del Santo di Bari,
fino all’apertura delle porte di una Basilica finalmente illuminata
da San Nicola, dagli uomini e dalle donne che hanno il coraggio
rivoluzionario di seguire i suoi insegnamenti.

Saint Nicholas comes from the sea. Air, earth and water summon
the deep bond between Saint Nicholas and the sea. Water is
16 Saint Nicholas' main element: water of the sea that brought him
to Bari; water of the seas for the sailors, seafarers, merchants,
foreigners and travelers whose Saint Nicholas is saint patron of;
water of the Holy Manna that has always been source of hope
and healings. The elements that fuse to create an original show
to honour the Saint and his people.
BASILICA DI SAN NICOLA
On the parvis of the Basilica gather the proofs celebrated in the
Cortège for the final greeting: the timpanists, the flag jugglers,
the dancing scenes and the Caravel with the Icon of the Saint, all
together in a jubilation of pictures, sounds and movements. The
three spheres of providence, symbol of the Saint who overcomes
the borders between religions, show in front of the Basilica.The
little bird announces the arrival of the Cortège at the Basilica,
the renewed rite, the renewed celebration. Barlaam of Rostov,
the first pilgrim, at the end of the long journey from Russia,
will finally arrive to the presence of the relics of the Saint. At
the end, the narrating voice of Pino Insegno will declaim the still
overwhelmingly contemporary message of the Saint of Bari, until
the opening of the doors of the Basilica finally illuminated by
Saint Nicholas, by men and women that had the revolutionary
bravery to follow his teachings.

San Nicola kommt aus dem Meer. Luft, Erde und Wasser
beschwören San Nicolas tiefe Beziehung mit dem Meer herauf.
Wasser ist das Hauptelement des Heiligen: das Meerwasser, das
ihn nach Bari geführt; das Meerwasser von Seemänner, Segler,
Händler, Fremde und Reisende, davon er Schutzheiligen ist. Das
Wasser des Geschenks, seit jeher Quelle der Hoffnung und Pflege.
Die Elemente kommen zusammen, um eine originelle Show zu
Ehren des Heiligen und seines Volkes zu schaffen.
BASILICA VON SAN NICOLA
In den Kirchplatz vor der Basilica fließen die Zeugnisse ein, die
während der Prozession für den letzten Abschied gefeiert worden
sind: die Paukenschläger, die Fahnenschwinger, die Tänzer und
die Karavelle mit der Ikone des Heiligen, alle zusammen in einen
Jubel von Bildern, Tönen und Bewegungen. Die drei Sphären
der Vorsehung kommen an die Basilica vor und stehen für den
Heiligen, der die Grenzen zwischen Religionen überwindet. Das
Vögelchen verkündet die Ankunft der Prozession zur Basilica,
des erneuerten Ritus und der erneuerten Feier. Am Ende der
langen Reise von Russland, Barlaam von Rostov, der erste Pilger,
kommt endlich vor den Reliquien des Heiligen an. Schließlich
deklariert die erzählende Stimme von Pino die immer ganz
aktuelle Botschaft des Heiligen von Bari. Danach werden die
Türen der Basilica geöffnet zu Ehren von San Nicola und von
allen Menschen, die den revolutionären Mut haben, die Lehren
des Heiligen zu folgen.

Saint Nicolas arrive de la mer. L’air, la terre et l’eau évoquent le
rapport profond entre Saint Nicolas et la Mer. L’eau est l’élément

afin de créer un spectacle authentique en honneur à son Saint

Devant le parvis de la Basilique on y trouve les témoignages
célébrés pendant le Cortège pour les salutations finales : la bande
des timpanisti, les lanceurs de drapeaux, les tableaux représentés
par des danseurs et la Caravelle avec l’icône du Saint, tous
ensemble dans un joli cadre d’images, sons et mouvements. Les
trois sphères de la providence, symbole du Saint qui dépasse les
frontières entre religions, se trouvent devant la Basilique. Le petit
oiseau annonce l’arrivée du Cortège à la Basilique, c’est le rite
rénové, la célébration rénovée. A la fin d’un long voyage depuis la
Russie, Barlaam de Rostov, le premier pèlerin, arrivera enfin en
présence des reliques du Saint. Enfin, la voix off de Pino Insegno
racontera le message encore aujourd’hui actuel du Saint de
Bari, jusqu’à l’ouverture des portes de la Basilique illuminée par
Saint Nicolas, par les hommes et les femmes qui ont le courage
révolutionnaire de suivre ses enseignements.
