WITNESS THE DIFFERENCE
If you get a chance to travel through the Dio-
cese of La Crosse, you might notice the above slogan
in many areas as the Diocesan School Office has be-
gun promoting Catholic schools with this unifying
banner. You may have noticed some of this in our
area as well, as we did a limited postcard mailing to
many of our families last spring.
Our Catholic School has a rich heritage here
in Prairie du Chien, with many local leaders having
graduated from both St Gabriel and St John school
before they were united as Prairie Catholic School.
Recognizing our history, we have printed a number of
yard signs reflecting graduates of St. Gabriel’s, St.
John’s and Prairie Catholic schools, as well as a sign
for current families and others that might desire to
help get the word out about our parish school.
These signs will be available after Masses
soon, with the proceeds helping fund the Washing-
ton D.C. class trip. They will be available for only
$10.00 per sign. Please consider purchasing one or
more of these signs and help us get the word out
about our school.
If you know of any families in our town that
have children, invite them to come take a look at
what we have to offer. We have openings in all grade
levels and Lil’ Saints Early Childhood center and Day
Care is taking applications for fall openings. We have
current openings in our fall 3K and 4K classes, but
these are filling up quickly. If interested, please con-
tact the school office soon.
BASEBALL: AUGUST 9 TH
MILWAUKEE BREWERS VS SAN DIEGO PADRES
Our server baseball outing is being opened up to all
parishioners. If you would like to participate in this
fun filled day with many fellow parishioners, please
contact Ken or Mary Stoeffler or the parish office
soon. This is an all-inclusive trip including the bus
ride to and from Milwaukee, a pre-game tail gate,
tickets to the game, a post- game snack and brown
bag lunch for the ride home. All this, with the fun
thrown in for free, for only $30.00 per adult.

The PCCW is planning a rummage sale in
October. Please save your treasures to donate, such
as clean clothing, shoes and boots in good
condition, toys, household items, tools, kitchen
items, small appliances, décor, books. We can not
take televisions, satellite receivers, computers,
monitors, air conditioners, microwaves, large
kitchen appliances, large furniture, mattresses, car
seats, cribs. Watch for additional information. For

For those who are interested in purchasing a bench at
the cemetery, the cemetery committee will be placing
an order before fall. The cost at this time is $1,500.00
and that includes the bench, cement pad and plaque.
