Dear Parents,

In our quest to help students expand their horizons and take learning beyond the classroom,
we are proud to announce this year’s tour to NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre in Orlando,
USA for the students of Delhi Public School Bangalore North. The tour, scheduled for the
month of October 2018, lasts a total of 10 days and 09 nights, and includes visits to
Universal Studios, Niagara Falls, Hershey’s Chocolate World, Washington DC and New
York City.

It is said that experience is the best teacher, and we have left no stone unturned to ensure
that this year’s tour is brimming with fascinating new experiences, learning opportunities
and fun times that are certain to change your child’s perspective of the world and prepare
them to become model citizens of the world.

Programme Highlights:

Day 1 –Arrival in to Fort Lauder dale or Miami, drive to Orlando and rest.

Day 2 & 3 - In Orlando will visit Kennedy Space Center for 2 days; students will be
presented with NASA engineering challenges based on science, technology, and
mathematical components. They will be introduced to the concepts of space travel. Here,
they will encounter and photograph the actual rockets, space crafts, space ships and
capsules. Students will relive the historic launch of Apollo 8 at the firing room theatre and
marvel at a monstrous 363 foot long Saturn V moon rocket.
After the completion of this programme at the Kennedy Space Centre, students will be
awarded certificates.

On day 4, Students will visit the Universal Studios- Islands of Adventure Theme Park, which
are full of attraction, entertainment and adventure.

On day 5, Students will be flown to Buffalo – Visit Niagara Falls – Maid of Mist experience,
As always, learning opportunities are part of the agenda, and this time it’s in the form of a
visit to the Robert Moses Niagara Hydroelectric Power Station. Overnight stay at hotel.
On day 6 & 7 - Students will travel from Buffalo to Washington DC , enroute visit the
Hershey’s Chocolate World – Pennsylvania – Certified Chocolate Tasting program In
Washington DC wherein they will visit the Bureau of Engraving and Printing OR Capitol
Building ( Internal tour –subject to availability at time of group confirmation ), Delightful
Cycle tour of Washington DC covering -Lincoln Memorial, White House, Washington
Monument, World War II memorial – Korean and Vietnamese Memorial and Smithsonian
Museum of Natural History.

On day 8 & 9 - It’s time for the students to make their way to the City of Dreams, New York.
Check out Washington DC and drive to New York – Overnight stay at hotel. Next day in
New York City, Ellis Island, United Nations ( Internal tour subject to availability at the
time of confirmation), Statue of Liberty, One world observatory , Rock Feller Center,9/11
Memorial, Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, Wall Street - the business district of the world
etc.
On Day 10 – Check out and Transfer to airport to board flight to India.

Tour cost per student is Rs. 2,50,000/- an all inclusive tour.

We request interested parents to kindly take time to visit the The Modern Classroom team
at the school premises to get a more in-depth understanding of the programme, clarify any
doubts with regards to the programme and also catch glimpses of the tours that we have
successfully organized and executed from end-to-end in the past.
