Clinical Rotation at The Stamford Hospital

Six-week rotation
▪ Independently assessed and managed care for multiple patients per day on a variety of acute care inpatient floors
including drafting comprehensive notes to be included in patient EMR.
▪ Utilized Nutrition Care Process to accurately assess patient needs, design medical nutrition therapy based
interventions, and monitor patient progress
▪ Conducted Continuous Quality Improvement project to analyze timing of POC glucose testing, insulin
administration, and meal delivery to improve patient satisfaction and hospital wide glycemic control
ICU/Critical Care Specialty Rotation at The Stamford Hospital
Two-week rotation
▪ Provided staff relief to ICU dietitian in 24 bed unit in order to provide adequate MNT to critically ill patients
▪ Applied up to date evidence based nutrition support recommendations, including ASPEN clinical guidelines, to
nutrition care process for critically ill patients to promote positive clinical outcomes

Diabetes Education Counseling Rotation at St. Francis Hospital

Six-week rotation
▪ Administered nutrition education related to Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes using counseling strategies
such as motivational interviewing in one-on-one and group settings to promote client learning
▪ Employed in depth knowledge of diabetes, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitors to counsel patients to
encourage client comprehension and adherence to nutrition and diabetes care plans

Research Rotation at The University of Connecticut

Four-week rotation
▪ Conducted original research via content analysis of nutrition related Type 1 Diabetes conversations on Twitter and
presented abstract and findings at CT Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Spring 2018 meeting
