intensivo language training program. However , these :na.t erial s can
also be used in nonintenaive programe. The course will provide
students with a suff icient level of fluency and communicative
proficiency in American English to enatole them to succeaafully pursue
technical or professional training in schoola conducted by the
Department o£ Defense,

The General English Phase of the ALC consista of six progressive
