Realignment in business defines as the action the company performs to adjust old jobs, habits,
people and more to the current political structure in the organizational change process. “If a
company, economy, or system goes through a realignment, it is organized or arranged in a new
way” (Dictionary, 2018, para.1). Realignment of employees is key to the change and the
organization to the political structure and is very important to ensure success.

Team A, understands the need for change and have created a new online training for
Amazon. The “world’s largest online retailer and a prominent cloud services provider” (Rouse,
2014, para. 1). Amazon interaction with the customers is done online or over the phone
internationally. The purpose of the new training is to increase Amazon’s productivity and
employee knowledge prior and during employment in the field of customer service and
technology. The company’s new training system is able to train current as well as new employees
from home. The leaders of the company and change managers need to understand the role of each
position that will become fulfilled with the new employees to provide them with the necessary
tools and job performance to training. Moving a complete training system from real life facilities
to online training can bring resistance from the staff. During the change process and employment
alignment, the organization assists in understanding the needs of a recruit, retain, remove and
replace any personnel if necessary to accomplish the objective and goal of the company. There are
possibilities that the current trainers and facilitators cannot adapt to the change or don’t possess
the skill of training a group of distance learners. The staff that can’t adapt, move with changes,
reflect resistance to change can be: remove, relocates, replaces or fired. The company’s new online
training will be preparing and transmitting the necessary tools for success to all the current and
new employees that starting a new position. Continuing training will be also facilitated for those
that need to continuing learning.

Retaining employees and continuing coaching is the goal of Amazon. The team “A”
understands the importance of aligning the training and employees with the organizational culture
during the change process. The employee’s knowledge and performance will be measured and
observed after training using the Kirkpatrick model and scorecards. The results of the assessment
and the feedback from the employees will facilitate data to the change manager and leaders. The
data can be useful to keep tuning and aligning the new training program and personnel.
