Universal Design for Learning (UDL): For my visually impaired students, they can listen with headphones
to get the same information as their other classmates. This activity will help my English Language
Learners because they will be able to visually see the planets.

Lesson idea implementation: I will show my students the movie that I created. I will let my students discuss
what they have learned about the phases of the moon after viewing and discussing the movie. Students will
be put into groups where they will take control of the lesson. During this time they will become experts of
one particular phase of the moon. After everyone is done becoming experts on their phase of the moon, we
will come back together as a group to discuss what they discovered.

Importance of technology: Videos are critical to the classroom because this is where students will view an
introduction to new content. This assignment could not be completed without the use of technology.
Students will need access to a computer or a tablet to view the video.

Inspiration (optional): N/A

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: Some parents may worry about their student’s safety. All information
and content that will be posted on the blog will be sent home for parent approval. No student information
will be available for the public eye, because I will create a private page that requires a password for access.

Reflective Practice: This lesson will show students responsibility skills that they need and skills to collaborate
with their peers so that they can create their presentation. The students could even learn about the entire
solar system and do their research about it in depth. After they finish doing their research of the solar system
they could create a presentation of their choice and share it to the entire school of what they discovered
about it.
