RATIONALE:

San Lorenzo Elementary School is now facing and heading to new innovations which count for
the advancement of teachers’ abilities. Thus, the school, together with its administrator, is continuously
searching for different strategies to enhance the institutional workforce. Thus, the latter’s purpose will
not be defeated, as to moulding the mentors into responsible individuals of the society specifically in
impartation of knowledge to the youngsters of today. Hence, there is a need of consistent upgrading in
all of its aspects. Thus, an In-Service Training for Teachers is to be conducted.
With this, SLES will surely attain its main purpose having an enhanced mentors who are ready to
materialize DepEd’s Mission, Vision and Core Values.

OBJECTIVES:

This training aims to:

 Involve all SLES teachers in In-Service Training for Teachers at SLES as to:
 Orient onself with the Inquiry Approach of Learning;
 Update onself to the present condition of K to 12 Program of DepEd;
 Familiarize oneself with the Early Literacy and Numeracy topics;
 Learn the Instructional Approaches in teaching;
 Enhance the ability in Test Construction;
 Deepen knowledge on the what, why, and how of MTB-MLE
 Identify different goals, strategies and solutions for effective Classroom
Management
 Encourage all SLES partakers to take active participation in INSET by acquiring new
knowledge regarding their profession.
 Make every teaching force aware of professional issues and the likes.

TRAINING CONTENT and METHODOLOGIES:

The “In-Service Training for Teachers” allotted for SLES faculty and staff is duly planned and
studied by the proponent and the other members of all the committee. After series of brainstorming,
the following were realized:

 The School Head made a committee who will facilitate and do the necessary actions to
materialize the INSET.
 The committee has made a proposal for the 2015 INSET for ERAES teachers.
 Topics were chosen purposively in accordance to the needs of teachers on how to improve
their teaching abilities and to highten the results of the National Achievement Test (NAT) of
the learners.
 Along with the proposal documents, attachments such as matrix of activities and travel
order were conceptualized and printed.

After the above mentioned processes, the proposal was submitted to the higher DepEd Lucena
offices for review and approval. Subsequently, different activities are to be realized. (Refer to the
attached matrix of activities.)

EXPECTED OUTPUT:

After the conduct of the School-Based In-Service Training for Teachers, all SLES personnel are
expected to deal properly with the professional issues regarding the nature of their work. Also, all the
partakers are already empowered to materialize all the above mentioned learnings which are discussed
in different INSET sessions. Lastly, they are expected to integrate their acquired knowledge in their daily
living and work as better catalyst of change.
