Spirit helps us in prayer as “the Spirit of
grace and of supplication” (Zechariah FAITH Evangelism Banquet

The following is an expanded explanation: Band of Brothers
1. The Spirit encourages and enables us to pray. As we
saw, “The Spirit helps our infirmities, for we do not know Prayer Surge/School
what we should pray for as we ought” (Romans 8:26). This

your mind as you pray. He will “bring all things to your First Steps Class
remembrance” as He “teaches you all things” (John 14:26),
particularly “the word of truth” to lead you. Kindergarten Notice

to discern the needs of people for prayer. He will show RefresHer
you where God is already at work and give you insight Women’s Conference

5. The Spirit places prayer burdens on your heart,
particularly in the crises of world events or family issues. A Beach Baptism
seeming heart of heaviness may be a call to prayer before
the load is lifted. Awana
6. The Spirit interprets your desires and aids your Good News Club
requests (Romans 8:26 & 27). His “groanings” are understood
by the Father when our reason is limited. Truth Project
7. The Spirit prompts you to pray for an unsaved person
whom He is already convicting of sin and draw him to Christ.

our Schools PROVERBS 1:7

Pray for our teachers:
- That God would protect our teachers from danger such as accidents and

illness.

- That our teachers would be gracious, full of compassion, and slow to

anger, having great mercy.

- That they would learn that a soft word turns away wrath.

- That they would love and enjoy their students.

- That they would be excited about teaching.

- That they would be just and fair in their grading and testing of students.

- That they might be sensitive about how much homework to give.

- That our teachers would come to know and believe that Jesus is the way,

the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father but through

Him.

Announcing our Fall 2010 RefresHer Bible Study ...
So Long, Insecurity
by Beth Moore
Beginning August 31st & September 1st …
Join us this fall as we read the book and study the scriptures about
an issue that affects every woman, regardless of her profession,
credentials, possessions, or attributes. The issue of insecurity
has become epidemic among women, but it is not incurable. This
journey to authentic security will cause us to identify the lies from the
world’s erroneous belief system that have infected and paralyzed
us as we allow the truth of God to scream louder to our souls in
liberation.
Each week you will be given chapter assignments to read in the
book along with scripture study and directed prayer times. When we
join with other women each week in small table discussion, we will
work through the issues and focus on God’s Word together in study
and prayer, followed by group study and teaching led by our
Senior Pastors’, wife Janet Wicker.
