2 Solution for Recharging PTCL EPPC

Subscribers by Ufone EVC Dealer

2.1 Requirement Reference

Topup of Vfone accounts through Ufone retailer network (EVC
system). The report for Ufone should be provided to PTCL, and PTCL can only query
the transaction for Vfone users. Ufone can query all transaction including Ufone and
Vfone.

“New GFEP” will setup 6 connections with 6 SCP of EPPC.

2.3 Function Description

Ufone retailer top up for Vfone user accounts via USSD. When receiving top up
request, EVC routes the top up message to PTCL EPPC service based on Vfone

user’s number segment. There are 6 connections between “New GFEP” and “EPPC”
for 6 PTCL SCPs.
After the transaction is successful, the transaction information should be logged and
PTCL operator can query it from SMAP.

2.5 Solution Detail

There are three new functions for this solution.
1. New interface from EVC to PTCL EPPC service.
2. Configure the number segment for Vfone users.
3. “Query Recharge History of Vfone Subscriber” should be enabling for PTCL
operator.

2.5.1 Configure the number segment for Vfone users

I. Input

A new menu will be added to the SMAP to configure the routing information, the GUI
is as follow.

II. Normal Processs

Operator can add, delete and modify the routing information for the Ufone subscriber
and Vfone subscriber. The length of start no. and end no. must be full number length,
e.g. for PPS number it must 10 digits; for fixed number, it must be 6 digits. Subscriber
type means the top up message will be sent to Ufone IN or PTCL IN.

2.5.2 Recharge Flow

I. Input

1) The EVC reseller enters the MDN when recharging for PPS users.

Process Detail
1) Vfone users go to Ufone EVC retailer and ask for top up.
2) EVC retailer sends the USSD command to EVC.
3) After receiving the top up request, EVC deducts the balance of dealer and
forward the message to PTCL EPPC service based on the MDN of the Vfone

user.
4) After receiving the top up request, EPPC service credit amount to the Vfone user
account and sends out the response message to EVC.
5) After receiving the top up response message from EPPC service, EVC send out
the notification to both EVC retailer and Vfone user. If the top up is unsuccessful,
EVC rollback the deduction of dealer balance and sends notification to the
dealer.

III. Output

1) The SMS message notification will be sent to the Vfone user.

2) The SMS and USSD message notification will be sent to the EVC retailer.
3) The transaction log will be logged in the database and PTCL operator can query
it via SMAP.

2.5.3 Query Recharge History of Vfone Subscriber

I. Input

A new menu will be added in SMAP and the authority can granted to the specified
operator. So this menu only granted to PTCL operator. The GUI is as follow.

II. Normal Processs

1) The transaction history can be queried based on “Seller MSINSD”, “Recharged

MSISND”, “Start Date”, “End Date”, Action Status” and “Voucher Serial No.”.
When queried by “Recharged MSISND”, the value will be validated based on the
configuration of “Number Segment and Subscriber Type”, in other word, the
“Recharged MSINSD” must be Vfone user‘s MSINSD. Otherwise the query will
be rejected.
2) The transaction result can be printed and saved to the excel file.

III. Output

The recharge details will be display on result UI and the fields will be same as the
Ufone as well including “Transaction Date”, “Transaction ID”, “Dealer MSISDN”,
“Dealer Name”, “Receiver MDN”, “Transaction Amount” and “Transaction Status” etc.

3 Restriction

Once this document has been confirmed and signed off by Huawei and
Ufone/PTCL, the above-mentioned contents will be used as the basis for
development and acceptance test. If either party needs to change the above-
mentioned contents, that party must obtain the agreement of the other party, and
both parties shall sign on the amendment for confirmation after a consensus is
reached. At the same time, the version release plan will be adjusted.
