Do not plan any other stressful or stimulating activities during your cleanse (approx two
weeks). Start the cleanse so that you finish by the time your menses begins. Do not cleanse
within 4-6 weeks of any other cleansing treatment or as recommended by your medical doctor.
John first discovered Ayurveda while struggling with a complex digestive disorder. After using
Ayurveda to heal himself, he chose to continue his study of Ayurveda, concentrating in the

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
To get the most out of this cleanse, there’s a few things we suggest you do first. Take the body
assessment quizzes on joyfulbelly.com – it’s important that you understand your unique
body and its strengths and weaknesses before beginning the cleanse.
There are 14 quizzes in total (all free!), which take 4-10 minutes each. If you’re pressed for time,
you can start with these three quizzes – Dosha Quiz, Diet & Routine Quiz, and Poop Quiz – and
come back to the others later.
Dosha Quiz – If you only take one quiz, this is the one to do! Knowing your Ayurvedic Body
Type – Vata, Pitta, or Kapha – will help you to understand a lot about your body – how you
react to food, what will make you feel good, what will cause you to feel imbalanced, and more.

Diet & Routine Quiz – The Diet Quiz can help you discover signs and symptoms of imbalances
in your body. After taking this quiz, you’ll have a better understanding of which healthy food
choices and recipes are a match for you.
Poop Quiz – Your bowel movements are essential to your health. Believe it not, the type, color,
shape, and consistency of your feces reveal important information about your digestive health

The body may become severely depleted after a cleanse. Large amounts of toxins continue to
