I am Muhammad Harris, a mechatronics engineer.

Considering the fact that I have done my schooling at a

small town of Pakistan, an underdeveloped country, I am the first engineer of my family, my academic
qualification is what makes my parents proud of me. Engineering was not only an educational milestone
for me to achieve, but also a passion like nothing else. The period of my graduation from Air University,
Islamabad, has been one of great learning and enlightenment. Although I have completed the degree, I see
myself standing right at the doorstep of a whole new world of knowledge that is not only theoretical but
also practicable.

I feel that my utmost strengths are, firstly having a passion for technology and mechatronics engineering.
Secondly, an ability to comprehend and prioritize my work in dynamic environment, thereby enabling me
to successfully display my best. Finally my consulting with all parties involved in a project, then
identifying requirements and then to provide appropriate solutions.

During my academic career I studied courses like Micro-Controllers and Embedded system. It influenced
me towards hardware-programming. The double degree program (Computer engineering + Mechatronics)
will helpful for me to fill this thirst. My final year project was based on Unmanned Ground vehicle; the
basic purpose of this project was surveillance. It is a track based design which can alter rough terrains and
climb obstacles of 8 cm and can move on a slope of 40 degrees. It is divided in to two main streams, the
controller and Robot.

After my graduation I worked as production engineer at sabro technologies pvt ltd. This experience is
directly shaping me up as a manager along with allowing me to put my theoretical knowledge to practice.
I was a team leader at production support cell. I was a part of the project process recruitment.

I apply this University, because its module system of study is very appealing. Distributed database is a
new field for me and I really wish to excel in it for it promises a lot of opportunities availing which, I
intend bring about a technological boon in my underdeveloped country. The main purpose of my
pursuance of a foreign degree is to enable myself to become an actively contributing citizen of my
country. This whole program is unique for me, because there is no substitute at my home university. I
intend to work with utmost diligence and to burn the midnight oil during my stay at this university so that
I can realize my goals.

I intend to pursue a degree in mechatronics because I have gained a fair introduction to the field in my BE
Mechatronics. I feel myself standing at the mouth of this cave of treasure of knowledge. I really wish to
explore it further so that I can outshine among the engineers of my home country and become an active
and a valuable citizen of my country. If given the chance, I can assure you, that I will work with toil and
leave no stone unturned in my quest for knowledge that I intend to put to practical use instead of wasting
it in theories.

My interest in Global Production Engineering stems again from my degree in Engineering and my
ultimate goal of doing something constructive for my country which would contribute towards its well-
being. These fields are all new for me and have a wide scope for practical application in my country
where the ground is fertile for a boost in technology. I ardently wish to realize my dreams of seeing a
modern and developed Pakistan which is why I am working for acquiring foreign qualification.

I am a confident, eloquent speaker brimming with leadership qualities and charisma. These skills enable
me to work as a good team leader for which I understand that authority doesn’t matter as much as
coordination does. I also understand that with power comes responsibility and therefore, I know how best
to use my oratory skills so that my team is not misled. But this doesn’t mean that I am afraid to take the
initiative. My personal skills include having excellent communication skills in addition to strong
organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. In addition to these, I am a very kind-hearted
person. I love to help those around me to the best of my capabilities. I am a social and a sociable person
and generally, leave a good impression upon whoever I meet. I am very adaptable and that is what will
enable me to adjust in a foreign country without particular difficulty. My future plans include continuing
my education and earning my master’s degree to increase my knowledge in this field and to advance my
career.

Another important personality trait that I possess is the knack for practicality. While studying theories, I
involuntarily focus on their practical application. This stems out of my craze for engineering which is
why, I want to pursue a program that will put me in a position to discover, utilize and perfect my skills as
an engineer so that I can become a valuable asset for my family, my country and eventually, the whole
world.

I am determined to make the most of this opportunity. I believe that being a student in your department
would not only empower my career development, but would give me the framework to utilize my full
potentials. Moreover I feel that as a Masters student at your University, I can benefit from the numerous
challenging career opportunities. I will make the most of this chance if I get to avail it and I will definitely
invest all my mental faculties in learning and practicing new things in the field. My passion for
engineering will definitely find a proper consummation at your institution, which is why I think I deserve
to be chosen for this program.
