2.0 Objective

The objective of this document is to provide an outline/instructions/guidelines for the

inspection of static attributes of Calculator Manufactured by CITIZEN and to verify and ensure
that- The Calculator is function properly and accurately.

3.0 Scope
The scope of this document is limited to outline procedure/provide methodology for the
qualification of calculator within the following boundaries-
o Verification of Calculator Details.
o Verification of calculator functional keys
o Verification of the accuracy of the calculator.

4.0 Responsibility

Responsibilities of different department/ personnel involved in different activities related to

the qualification of the calculator are defined below:

5.0 System Description

Brief description of the equipment.
The calculator is used for the calculation of the test results in the quality control laboratory, in
Production for calculation of API quantity and batch yield, Ware house for material reconciliation
and API calculation.

5.1 System/Equipment Qualification

The qualification of the calculator shall be done based on the following parameters-
o Verification of the calculator Details
o Verification of calculator functional keys.
o Verification of the accuracy of the calculator.
The parameter provides a documented verification of the qualification of the calculator as per the
specification/requirements.
The purpose of performing the tests detailed methodology of performing/executing of each test
along with the provision of recording the observations is given as follows.

5.1.1 Verification of calculator Details.

The Purpose of this test is to verify the details of the calculator.
Tools required: Not Applicable
Test procedure: Check that the calculator name /Identification sticker is clearly visible.
Verify the make, model no. of the calculator, record the actual observation in the data sheet-
01
Acceptance Criteria: The Observed details for the given parameters should be same as the
specified in Data sheet-01.
5.1.2 Verification of Functional Keys.
To check& Identify the individual functional key & verify that the function of individual key is
as per manufacturers specifications.
Test Procedure: Identify each functional key listed in data sheet-02, operate and verify its
function against the specified function & record the observations.
Tools Required – Not applicable.
Acceptance Criteria – Each functional key should perform the specified function when
activated.
5.1.3 Verification of the accuracy of calculator.
Purpose-To verify the accuracy of the calculator.
Test Procedure: Select the test data as mention in data sheet -03 and in verification section
for the calculations. Switch on the calculator and calculate the data by calculator and then
verify the calculations manually.
Calculate the test data in the Annexure-I (Calculation sheet) and record the observation in
data sheet -04 and data sheet-05.
