Generator (EDG) With All 3 TG’s
And 3 Transformers Available PAGE: 3 of 6
OVERVIEW
BRA platform have 3 unit Solar Taurus 60 Turbine Generators each capable of providing 4.14 MW for the
platform use.
Under normal operating conditions TG will be running and distribute the load to 3300V Switchgear and
LV Switchgear via 3 unit transformers.
Platform also has one unit Emergency Diesel Generator capable of providing 1 MW power during any TG
power failure or ESD.
During platform power outage, the emergency generator will automatically start. The Air Circuit Breaker
(ACB‐8131) will open and air circuit breaker ACB‐8111 will close to power up the Preferential Bus “P”
This procedure is prepared with the following assumptions:
Diesel Generator DG‐8110 is started and ready for load.
ACB‐8131 has opened automatically.
ACB‐8111 has closed automatically.
Diesel Generator DG‐8110 sync control switch in auto position.
All Turbine Generators (TG‐8010/8030/8050) are available for re‐start.
All Transformers (TF‐8020, 8040 and 8060) Available. TF Rated at 437A (HV) / 3333A (LV).
All Motor Control Centre MCC‐8120/8130/8140 are available.
All synchronizing indication light, synchroscope and sync check relays are functional on all the
Turbine Generator and Emergency Generator.
TG‐8010/8030/8050 auto sync facility is operational.
All meters and other indication lights on the turbine control panel and the diesel emergency
generator are functional.
All MCC indicating lights are functional.
All switchgear 3300 and 415 V AC breakers are fully operational.
All electrical switching for the emergency generator and the gas turbine generators (both in auto and
manual mode) will be carried out in the MCC Switchgear Room.
