Background

The Wolves are fighting in a war alongside guard, against an Elusive Eldar foe that seem
to vanish and re-appear at will.
Analysis of reports from scouts and Auspex data has shown unusually high Eldar activity
around a location hidden in the eastern woodland, and the Space wolves have taken part
in a large scale push nearby in order to split a task force away to investigate what seems
to be an Eldar command post.
The Farseer detects an imminent threat to an important webway gate in the eastern
woodland and rushes to its defence, requesting aid from the Autarch. Little help can be
spared, but a squad of Avengers and Scorpions soon spill from the gate and begin
securing the area, while a Serpent carrying a second Avenger squad is retasked to the
location.

Battle opens just as the two grav tanks arrive and the Wolves launch their attack.

Scene 1

Perspective: Wolf in Hargrims squad. The squad is moving stealthily through the woods
along with another squad. Explanation of the plan to take down an Eldar command post.

Scene 2

Perspective: Farseer. She is sensing victory in the coming battle, but somehow it leads to
a more significant defeat elsewhere – there is a possibility of a webway gate being
compromised. Quickly she contacts the Autarch for support and races towards the gate.

Scene 3

Perspective: Wolfscout. Lurking to the NE of the battlefield, they have sensed the arrival
of Eldar through the gate (although they do not understand what the taste in the air
signifies) and are watching the approach of a Waveserpent. As it sets down they attack
and destroy it, regrouping as Avengers pour out.

Scene 4

Perspective: Wolf from Scene 1. The wolves surge forwards through the woods into
combat with the Scorpions. Hargrim is killed by their Exarch.

Scene 5

Perspective: Avenger Exarch. The avengers open fire on wolves from the north, and the
survivors are scattered
Scene 6

Perspective: Wolf Scout. The scouts finish the Avenger squad, then withdraw into the
wood

Scene 7

Perspective: Grey Hunter. The seer and warlocks disembark and race through the woods
to support the scorpions, while the hunters attempt to take down the falcon

Scene 8

Perspective: Farseer. The Seer and Warlocks join the Scorpions in assault

Scene 9

The Predator rumbles forwards, firing on the distant Avengers, but is destroyed by the
Falcon

Scene 10

The Final combat as the remaining hunters face seers and scorpions and are forced to
withdraw.
