NAME COVERAGE
Aerospace Latest 2 yrs only. For 1960-present, view
print indexes in S&E Ref or ask for online search
Applied Science & 1983-present. Indexes almost 400 science
Technology and technology periodicals. With
Applied Science & undergraduate focus (all in English).
Business Retrospective 1913-1983 also online for historical science-eng research
Compendex 1884-present. International coverage of civil,
[Engineering Index] structural, mechanical engineering. &
aerospace, materials science, chemical,
ocean, electrical eng & computer science.
INSPEC 1898-present. Good for computers,
electronics, biomedical, control, electrical and
ocean engineering, physics, including
geophysics, astronomy, acoustics.
Metadex 1966-present. International coverage of the
[Metals Abstracts] literature published on the science and
technology of metals. Good for applied and
Metadex & EMA theoretical materials processes.
EMA 1986-present. Comprehensive coverage for
[Engineered science of polymers, ceramics and composite
Materials Abstracts] materials. Articles, conference proceedings
and newer patents.
EEA [Earthquake 1971-present. EERI covers the world’s
Engineering] literature in earthquake engineering. Includes

Civil Engineering 1970-present. Only complete index of all the
database ASCE journals, conferences & papers.
PubMed 1953-present. MEDLINE and genetics
[Index Medicus] databases [National Library of Medicine].
SciFinder Scholar 1907-present. International coverage for

Web of Science 1900-present. Indexes over 6,000 key
science journals--excellent place to start
