input is routed to a DC supply module, which in turn powers the xDSL card.
Power from a local DC supply can be applied to the xDSL card in the ERE-811-L5 through a
rear-panel power-terminal strip (provided on the ERE-811-L5 enclosure).

MOUNTING
The ERE-811-L5 may be used as a desktop unit or mounted on a wall using the holes on the
bottom of the unit. For more information, see Mounting the Enclosure on page 2.
The ERE-811-L5 has a universal power cord IEC connector, allowing it to accept multiple
international-type power cords. The power cord is not provided, but can be ordered as an
additional item.

a locally recognized organization should be used with ADC equipment.
All wiring external to the product should follow the local wiring codes.
This unit operates with hazardous voltages. Caution should be exercised
during installation and removal of the cards. Prevent hands and other
objects from going inside the slots since dangerous voltages can be
present internally. Any empty slots should be covered with blank slot
faceplates.

Mounting the Enclosure

If using the ERE-811-L5 as a desktop unit, simply place the ERE-811-L5 on a stable flat
surface. Do not block any of the air vents.
If mounting the enclosure on a wall, select a suitable location. Allow at least 20 inches
(50 cm) of clearance at the front of the unit for operator access and at least 4 inches
(10 cm) at the rear of the unit for power and interface cable connections.
