    THE IMPERATIVE

     The imperative form uses the simple form of a verb.


    In the negative, don’t comes before verb.

    EXAMPLES NOTES

    Affirmative Come in Add the word “please”


    Please sit down For politeness
    Be quiet, please stand up Thhe subject is you,
    Go out side But it doesn’t apear

    Please study hard

    Negative Don’t talk


    Don’t stand up
    Don’t come in
    Don’` open the door

    For a first-person plural subject (we) “ Let’s” Appear before the simple form of the verb.
