f‐ Payment Over call Code: LT‐VIM‐06
• Description: we have a centralized server with DB of all stores that
are subscribing for the service. Whenever a customer enters a store and wants
to use the PayBySMS service. The store use a desktop application to create a
ticket with the amount of money. The desktop application communicates with
the server. The server then replies with an ID for this ticket. The store gives the
ticket id to USER. The user sends this ID to specific number. Here, the server
deduce from the sender number, adds to the store balance. Then sends a
confirmation message to store.

Simulators
a‐ SMS – SC Simulator Code: LT‐S‐01
• Description: Every Mobile Network as an SMS Center that forwards the
messages between nodes. Send back delivery report. Pends the message if the
phone is closed or out of reach. Redeliver it when the phone is online. In this
project, you will establish a full simulation of the SMC. After building the
simulation, you can start building sample VAS application on top of it which can
be deployed on real operators SMC!

Embedded Systems
a‐ Home Automation over mobile Code: LT‐ES‐01
• Description: Home automations mainly about controlling devices at home
through a mobile. In order to control a device through a mobile you need to
have mobile software prepared for controlling the terminals (devices at home)
and GSM/GPRS module attached to the control unit at home which applies the
orders received through the GSM/GPRS module.
• Objectives: The main aim of home automations over mobile is to control your
electric devices when you are away from home through the mobile, also for
home protections against fire or theft.
• Knowledge Required:
i. Circuit Design
ii. Advanced Microcontroller
iii. Java SE
• Min. No of team members: 6
b‐ Tracking System Code: LT‐ES‐02
• Description: Tracking Systems are two types:
i. Online Tracking
ii. Offline Tracking
Tracking systems are mostly dependent on GPS modules otherwise should need
infrastructure with a large cost.
In order to track a vehicle we should have a GPS module to get the coordinates
of the each position [also it could be used to calculate speed and time] and then
we should record this data in to a memory for later extraction. This type of
tracking is called offline tracking
.
Online tracking is the same but the data [Position, Speed ….Etc] are sent over a
wireless system so the user can log to the system to know the position of the
vehicle but this type of tracking is banned in Egypt
• Objectives: Recording the route, speed and travel time of each vehicle for travel
companies, tourism companies, schools …….... Etc.
• Knowledge Required:
i. Circuit Design
ii. Advanced Microcontroller
• Min. No of team members: 6
c‐ Hospital Automation Code: LT‐ES‐03
• Description: Hospital automation includes many different fields but usually it is
concerned with taking the patient readings [Blood pressure, Heart
condition…….etc] from each patient by a wireless system to a server which
monitors all the patients and records their status.
• Objectives: Monitoring the condition of all the patients and giving alarm if
something was wrong.
• Knowledge Required:
i. Circuit Design
ii. Advanced Microcontroller
iii. Servers and Database
