C. Procedure
I. Motivation
The teacher will ask the learners to write inside the circle on the chalkboard the countries/nations they have visited or known so far.
Processing Question: What countries/nations have you visited or have you known so far?
II. Presentation
Processing Question: Did you include the Philippines?
The teacher will tell the learners that the focus of the chapter is about the Philippines and will give some facts about our country.
III. Discussion
The teacher will ask the leaners about their ideas on the word country and give the established meaning and classifications of nations.
Nation –a territory of a community of people belonging to one race, has history, language, culture and government (UP Diksyonaryong
Pilipino).
- It is consists of a group of people living in a specific place and is binded by language, tradition, practices, and history (AghamPanlipunan).
Classifications of Nations (examples will be revealed after the group activity)

IV. Application
Group Activity
Each growth community will get their world map and proceed to their designated stations. They will be given five minutes to list
down countries under Classification A (small, medium, and large) and Classification B (an island, archipelago, peninsula, and mainland).
The teacher will check their work.
V. Generalization
The teacher will facilitate the generalization by asking the learners: Processing Questions: What concept of a nation did you learn?
VI. Evaluation
Classify the countries inside the box into Classification A (small, medium, or large) and Classification B (an island, archipelago, peninsula,
or mainland). Do it on your one whole sheet of pad paper. Two points for every correct answer.
VII. Agreement/Assignment
