 5. SITE VISIT OBJECTIVE(S)
5.1. Objectives:

 Install and configure CODA v10.101 on the Live server’s(ZAHIDBI) to include:

o Java JRE_1_5 on the Server
o Cognos BI Tools ( Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Metrics Modelling )
o Cognos Framework Manager
o Cognos Metrics Studio
o Set up the Active Directory Security Settings.
o Set up the Mail Server Notification.
o Test the Datasource Connectivity to the CODA SQL Server database.
o Import the CODA Framework for CODA Intelligence into Cognos Framework Manager.
o Publish the CODA Framework files to enable the customers to build the Sample Finance reports.

Installation of Client onto ZAHIDBI (application server):

o Framework Modelling Client was installed from the COGNOS - CD onto E:\cognos\C8

6.6. COGNOS – Metrics Server

Installed the Cognos Metrics Server

Installed the Cognos Metrics Modelling.

6.7. Cognos Mail Notification :

This is not yet Setup because

This is setup to enable the users to send Reports via Email.

6.9. CODA Framework :

Extracted the COGNOS Framework provided by CODA onto D:\CODA Framework\ folder.

Created the following new Data Source connections in Cognos Connections - Production:

CODA Intelligence SQL

Imported the framework files (.cpf) and Published the framework files onto COGNOS. The
production package is called CODA Financials.

The above connections are pointing at CODA Production. As there are no companies setup in
production yet, We need another version of the Package for Development.

Created the following new Data Source connections in Cognos Connections - Development:

CODA Intelligence SQL

Published the packaged under a new name called

CODA Intelligence
