Instructions for Candidates:

1. Candidates appearing for the posts of Chemical Engineers- Petrochemical, Chemical Engineer- Refinery, Project
Construction Engineer- Multiple Disciplines, Inspection Engineer, Health, Safety and Environment Officer, HR Analytics,
SAP HR and Quality Assurance need to necessarily carry Scientific Calculator. List of approved Calculators:
a. Casio FX82 (ES/MS) (with or without any suffix)
b. Casio FX83 (ES/MS) (with or without any suffix)
c. Casio FX85 (ES/MS) (with or without any suffix)
d. Sharp EL531 (with or without any prefix or suffix)
e. Texas Instruments BA II Plus (with or without any suffix)
f. Texas Instruments TI-30 (with or without any suffix)
g. Hewlett Packard HP12c (with or without any suffix)
Please note that NO SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR WILL BE PROVIDED BY BPCL at the test centres. However, a basic
arithmetic calculator will be present on the computer screen which can be used for for basic calculations.
2. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria and other conditions as detailed in our recruitment advertisement as
applicable to their category and ensure that they appear in the Online Test, for the said post, only if they meet the requisite essential
criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, industry experience and other requirements. In case it is detected at any stage of
recruitment / selection that the candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and / or that he / she has furnished any incorrect / false
information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will automatically stand cancelled. If any of the above
shortcoming(s) is/are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated without any Notice, as the
appointment would be deemed to be void ab initio.
3. You are requested to appear for the ONLINE test at the centre on the date and time specified above. For candidates who have
applied for the Official Language Implementation post the test will be OFFLINE. Such candidates will have to answer the
examination on an answer sheet and need to carry a Black/Blue ball pen only. No gel pen or ink pen will be allowed.
4. No candidate will be allowed after the gate closing time mentioned above; however Management reserves the right to allow / disallow
candidates on situational basis.
5. Candidate should carry one of following valid Photo ID Cards in ORIGINAL to the test centre for verification; a) Pan card, (b)
Passport, (c) Driving License, (d) Voter Identification card, (e) Aadhar Card. (e-Aadhar is not allowed).
6. College or Employee ID cards will not be considered as valid ID. Carrying valid ID in Original to the test centre is mandatory. If any
candidate fails to carry the above mentioned photo identity proof, and the admit card then he / she will not be allowed to
appear for the exam.
7. Books, periodicals, any written material, mobile and laptops etc. are not allowed in the examination hall. Personal belongings
including mobile phones shall be kept outside the examination room at candidate’s own risk. The candidates are advised not to bring
valuables and any other personal belongings of high value while coming for the tests and the test centre / BPCL shall not be held
responsible in case the item(s) is/ are lost or a theft occurs of such items which are brought to the test centre.
8. Candidates should maintain complete silence during the examination & communication of any form between candidates or with
outsiders is not permitted.
9. Candidate(s) found using any unfair means or in possession of any incriminating material during the test shall be expelled from the
examination hall and his/her test would be cancelled.
10. Candidates are not allowed to smoke, eat or drink in the examination hall.
11. Your candidature for this test is Provisional and is subject to your fulfilling the prescribed Criteria of Age, Educational Qualification,
Industry experience and other eligibility conditions as specified in our advertisement hosted on our official website. This admit card
is issued purely on the basis of the details furnished by you in the online application form, which is subject to a detailed scrutiny at
any later stage.
12. Candidates not found to be meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria shall be rejected at any stage of the selection process.
13. Travel Reimbursement: Outstation SC/ST/PWD candidates appearing for the Online Test shall be reimbursed to & fro travel fare at
actual, up to a maximum of 2nd AC rail fare/ AC bus fare (whichever is lowest) by the shortest route from the city of residence (in
case of candidates coming from outside the country, the shortest distance from their city of permanent (Indian) residence) to the place
of the Online test provided that the distance traveled is not less than 30 K.M. These candidates are required to fill in the travel claim
form, which will be provided at the test venue, and submit the same along with the below mentioned documents to the invigilators at
the time of the examination.
a) original proof of travel (train tickets/boarding passes,etc.) ,
b) copy of the caste/disability certificate, and
c) cancelled cheque leaf/ copy of the first page of passbook clearly displaying the MICR No. and IFSC code of the bank
account as entered in the online application form.
The amount claimed (subject to a maximum of the lowest of 2nd AC rail fare/ AC bus fare ) will be automatically credited to the bank
account, provided by the candidates in the online application forms, within a time frame of 7 weeks after the examination.
14. "Compensatory Time" of 20 minutes per hour of examination will be granted to all candidates who belong to PWD category. The
PWD candidates (having any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40%, as certified by a medical authority )
requiring the help of a scribe to assist them through the online test at the exam venue, may arrange for the same on their own. Only
such scribe will be allowed whose educational qualification is at least one degree less than the qualifying degree, applicable to the
post for which the candidate has applied for, and the scribes will have to submit a proof of the same. Such proof will include the date
of birth certificate, copy of the latest degree earned by the scribe, photo identity card. It must be noted that at any time these
information is found to be false or incorrect, the candidature and/or admission of such candidate for whom such scribe appeared at
the entrance exam venue will be summarily rejected. The candidate and the scribe have to also fill in a joint declaration, which will
be made available at the test venue.
15. No request shall be entertained for change in Date, Time and Venue of the Online Test.
16. Candidates are required to download the admit card ONLINE only as no separate physical copy of this admit card will be
