ATTENTION OF CANDIDATES / PARENTS

The Candidates and Parents are hereby informed that the following
colleges have approached the Hon’ble High Court in respect of fixing the
Tuition Fee for Under Graduate Engineering (B.E / B. Tech) courses for
the Block Period 2016-17 to 2018-19 and the cases are pending and the
details are as follows.

In the said circumstances the candidates and parents are hereby


informed to go through the Hon’ble High Court Order mentioned below
while exercising options for the courses offered in the below four (04)
colleges.

CHAITANYA BHARATHI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

TAFRC has fixed the Tuition Fee of the college as Rs.1,13,500/- and
the same was notified by the Government. The Hon’ble High Court in its
W.P.M.P.No. 27745 and 27746 of 2016 and W.P.No. 22564 of 2016 has
tentatively fixed Tuition Fee of Rs. 2,00,000/- and permitted the college
to collect the above Tuition Fee tentatively fixed by the Court subject to
the condition that they give a bank guarantee of Rs. 86500/- per student
to the High Court Registrar (Judicial). As against the same the
Government have filed W.V.M.P.No. 4188 of 2017 for vacating the above
order, which is pending. The fee collected will be subjected to the final
orders in Writ Appeal.

MAHATMA GANDHI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

TAFRC has fixed the Tuition Fee of the college as Rs.1,00,000/- and
the same was notified by the Government. The Hon’ble High Court in its
W.P.M.P.No. 27781 and 27780 of 2016 and W.P.No. 22595 of 2016 has
tentatively fixed Tuition Fee of Rs. 1,60,000/- and permitted the college
to collect the above Tuition Fee tentatively fixed by the Court subject to
the condition that they give a bank guarantee of Rs. 60000/- per student
to the High Court Registrar (Judicial). As against the same the
Government have filed W.V.M.P.No. 4187 of 2017 for vacating the above
order, which is pending. The fee collected will be subjected to the final
orders in Writ Appeal .
SREENIDHI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

TAFRC has fixed the Tuition Fee of the college as Rs.97,000/- and
the same was notified by the Government. The Hon’ble High Court in its
Order W.P.No. 7744 of 2017 has fixed the Tuition Fee of the college as Rs
1,37,000/-. The Government have preferred Writ Appeal. The Hon’ble
High Court in its interim-order in Writ Appeal No 801 of 2017 has
permitted the College to collect the above fee fixed by the Court subject
to the condition that they give a bank guarantee of Rs 20,000/- per
student to the High Court Registrar (Judicial), and suspended all other
aspects, including issuance of notification for the above fee. As the
Hon’ble High court has permitted the college to collect the fee
Rs. 1,37,000/-, the students are required to pay Rs. 97,000/- to
Convenor and Rs. 40,000/- to the College. The fee collected will be
subjected to the final orders in Writ Appeal.

VASAVI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

TAFRC has fixed the Tuition Fee of the college as Rs.97,000/- and
the same was notified by the Government. The Hon’ble High Court in its
Order W.P.No. 7596 of 2017 has fixed the Tuition Fee of the college as
Rs 1,60,000/-. The Government have preferred Writ Appeal. The Hon’ble
High Court in its interim-order in Writ Appeal No 798 of 2017 has
permitted the College to collect the above fee fixed by the Court subject
to the condition that they give a bank guarantee of Rs 20,000/- per
student to the High Court Registrar (Judicial). As the Hon’ble High court
has permitted the college to collect the fee Rs. 1,60,000/-, the students
are required to pay Rs. 97,000/- to Convenor and Rs. 63,000/- to the
College. The fee collected will be subjected to the final orders in Writ
Appeal.
