Anemia EVENTS IN PREGNANT WOMEN BPM

Anemia is a global public health problem that can increase morbidity and
mortality. The prevalence of anemia is high, as evidenced by data from the World
Health Organization (WHO), the global prevalence of anemia among pregnant
women worldwide is 41.8%. The prevalence of anemia among pregnant women is
expected in Asia by 48.2%, Africa 57.1%, with 24.1% and Europe 25.1%.
Design research is analytic research with cross sectional approach. This
research has been carried out for 7 days from July 10 to July 16, 2018. The sampling
technique that is by accidental sampling or by chance by waiting any pregnant
women attending an antenatal check as many as 32 respondents.
From the results of chi square test with 95% (Α = 0.05) calculation results show
the value of p (0.001) <p value (0.05)means ha ho accepted and rejected, meaning
that there is a relationship between knowledge of mothers with occurrence of anemia.
From the results of chi square test with 95%(Α = 0.05) calculation results show the
value of p (0.002) <p value (0.05) means ha ho accepted and rejected, thus no
correlation between age premises of anemia in pregnant women.
This study, expected to be alert to the symptoms of anemia, because anemia is
very dangerous if it occurs in pregnant women, in addition to the standard inspection
pregnancy care should also be undertaken as recommended by the midwife or other
health care workers.
