Best COB used: Original Citizen or Bridgelux COB
Citizen is the world first COB manufacturer in Japan, and Bridgelux is a top brand in USA. Senlu
uses only originally encapsulated COB, which has the following advantages over lower brands or
no brand COBs:
▪ Higher LED efficacy

▪ Higher tolerant Junction Temperature (Tj, leading to longer lifespan)
▪ Better stability, much lower luminous depreciation
Original COB v.s. China Made Power Integrated LED Chip
Many other lighting suppliers would use “Bridgelux COB” as the light source which is made in
China and totally different from the USA made Bridgelux Array.
How is the China made power integrated LED chip (COB) made?
Bridgelux or Epistar is the most used brand. Drive Bridgelux 45mil, Epistar 35mil or 45mil chips to
1W, 2W or 3W, and then encapsulate in China factory. Not only the materials, such as wire for
bonding, phosphor and epoxy, are different, but also the equipment, inspection and quality control
vary. All the factors have an impact on the performance of the finished products.

Optical Glass Lens: 95% light transmittance
Optical Lens is the best material for light distribution. It won't be aged like PC lens, causing light
depreciation, or very low light efficacy like reflectors (only 80% light reflection). Optical Lens can
be as more as 15% efficient than reflectors or PC lens.

Composed of top brands components, Senlu power is highly efficient and stable. This leads
greatly to the circuit efficacy.
If you consider the 0.99 PF (compared with less than 95% of others), our comparative efficacy is
much higher.
Further more, considering THD (less than 10%), there would be great difference.
Color Rendering Index (CRI)
Not like other low CRI (Ra<70), Senlu adopts Ra>80 COBs only. This does not affect the efficacy,
however, in fact, you would see objects 10% more clear.
All the above factors affect the efficacy of an LED light. This is why Senlu LED light is so

Made of extrusion Aluminum (Al6063), the thermal conductivity of Senlu Heat Sink is 201 W/m.K,
compared with 96 W/m.K of die-casting Aluminum (ADC12).
Long fins are made for Senlu heat sink, because of the high density of extrusion Aluminum, not like
low density die-casting Aluminum. 5000~6000 mm 2 heat radiating area is designed for Senlu LED
lighting while it can hardly be made for die-casting Aluminum heat sink.
Moreover, the heat of COB can be conducted directly to the heat sink and dissipated.
Thus, the Junction Temperature of Senlu lighting can be controlled within 100 ℃, assuring that the
LED lifespan is more than 50,000 hours.
At the same time, we may know from the following figure that, the lower the Tj is, the higher the
Relative Photometric Output is, that is higher efficacy.
