LOUDSPEAKER
Speakers can be encountered in various electronic devices. We can listen to radio music,
listen to sounds from television dramas or other this can happen because of the electronic
components called Loudspeaker which in Indonesian called Speaker.

Loudspeaker including actuator because seen from sense actuator that is convert
electrical signals into other non electric energy. As well as the loudspeaker is to convert
electrical signals into sounds that can be heard by humans.

The meaning of the loudspeaker is a transducer that can convert electrical signals into
audio frequencies.

The loudspeaker has a function of converting the electrical waves of audio amplifier
devices into sound waves or vibrations. In the context of computerization, speakers have a
function as a tool to convert electrical waves that originally from an audio / sound amplifier
device into a vibration wave that is in the form of the sound itself.

Types of speakers are differentiated based on the resulting frequency such as :

1. Speaker Tweeter, the speaker that produces High Frequency (about 2kHz - 20kHz)
2. Mid-range speakers, ie speakers that produce a Medium Frequency (about 300Hz -
5kHz)
3. Speaker Woofer, which speakers that produce Low Frequency (about 40Hz - 1kHz)
4. Speaker Sub-woofer, which speakers that produce very low Frequency is around
20Hz - 200Hz.
5. Speaker Full Range, which speakers that can produce Low Frequency to High
Frequency.
The working principle on speakers is the Voice Coil generates a magnetic field and
interacts with the Permanent Magnet so as to move the Cone Speaker forward and backward.
Electrical signals passing through the Voice Coil will cause the direction of the magnetic field to
change rapidly resulting in "pull" and "repulse" movements with the Permanent Magnet. So,
there is a vibration forward and backward on the Cone Speaker.

In principle, the greater the Cone the greater the surface that can move the air so that the
sound produced Speaker will also be greater.

The suspension contained in the Speaker serves to pull the Cone to its original position
after moving forward and backward. Suspension also functions as a holder of Cone and Voice
Coil. Stiffness, composition and design Suspension greatly affect the sound quality of the
Speaker itself.

In the electrical field of the loudspeaker is used as a sound indicator of motor control
circuit when the motor overload or other disturbance. In addition, can be used as a sound
indicator of water level control when the water reservoir is in full condition.
