Part 1: After checking the Unit 1 Topic 2: Modal Verbs, write 2 sentences using each
one of the following modal verbs regarding your daily life: can – could – may - must -
should - ought to – have to – need to- had better – would.

Example:
I must go to the doctor because I have a toothache.

Part 2: According to the following picture, each student must choose three pictures
and write the sentences using past progressive (Unit 1 – Topic 3):

Example: My father was fixing his car in the garaje yesterday.

Part 3: Write a text about the activities you were doing yesterday; you can use time.
Use at least two pictures related to your day. You should write three paragraphs:

Example: I was taking my breakfast at home at 7:00 a.m.

 Paragraph 1: In the morning

 Paragraph 2: In the afternoon
 Paragraph 3: At night

Each paragraph must have minimum four (4) sentences and maximum six (6)
sentences. It must have a title, from 220 words to 250 and it is necessary to use the
following topics:

 Modal verbs
 Past progressive
 When and while

Part 4: Students must comment about the partners’ contributions and make
corrections if necessary.

the laziness of the cold morning:

In the morning I woke up at 6:00 am and was having breakfast with my mother, I
went to bathe and the water was cold, I got ready and I left since I must be in the
company at 8:00 am and I go to the 12:00 pm, I need to buy a motorcycle in which I
could arrive early.
an afternoon full of responsibilities:
in the afternoon I had to make lunch, then take a break and I told my mom that I
should go to the house of a companion and she told me that I would have to order my
room after that I went out on the bike to meet my companion when When she was
with her cousins watching TV, while they watched the TV I started doing the work.
experiences of good learning:
At night I have to go out to study, after I finish the class I went to my house and
dined, my mom started telling me that she went out with my dad to dance in my
uncle's bar, after that I started to study and that I have to present an evaluation and
when I finish I went to sleep

One morning with restriction.

I was sleeping when you called, i turned on tv and seeing your favorite news program,
i was listening the news about traffic restriction and i was tell you: My car was dont
can using. Please taking youre car because it was dont having anything restriction.

A bad afternoon
I was at work when my angry boss called me to his office, when my girlfriend showed
up with a message from my mom. she had was buying the morning breakfast because
in the house dont had food to cook. While receiving the message my boss altered and
terminated my contract with the company. I losting my job for one simple message of
mom.

One night of dance

at nigth she having free time, i was thinkig a big idea and invite her to dancing disk
but, i was dont think in your father. When my dad was remembering that he was a
friend of his, they were talking about us and they were determined to authorize us to
leave, so i was can going to dancing with she.

My girfliend was sick:

headache, but she forgot it. After I told her. We had better go to the hospital, I see

Afternoon of movies in my house:

We were watching tv, while my mom was cooking in the kitchen, then we went to
lunch, it was spaggetti with chicken, rice, salad and lemonade, my girlfriend and me
decided to watch a movie of love, titled “"under the same star". I was worried, because
I should do a lot of homeworks of the university

Romantic dinner with my love:

After of stay all day in house with my girlfriend, we decided to go eat at a shopping
center, while I was parking the car, my girlfriend was climbing the stairs, I reached
her, and we went around the mall, we bought an orange juice, and in the food court,
we ordered a chicken pizza with mushrooms, while we were eating, my mom called me
to invite us to eat at home, but I reject her, because we needed to be alone to share
more time together.
