CODE OF DISCIPLINE

A. Conduct in the School


Every learner must value and exercise self-discipline to earn due respect for his own person. He is called upon to
respect his/her fellow learners, personnel, faculty members and administrators. He should conduct and present
himself in a descent manner, abiding by generally accepted norms of good behaviour at all times. Every learner is
called upon to:
1. Wear the school uniforms on days specified and wear their identification card at all times within the school
campus.
2. Take good care of school property and facilities and use them properly.
3. Keep the school campus clean and tidy. Littering pieces of paper, plastics, cans, bottles and other
disposable materials anywhere in the school is to be avoided.
4. Observe silence in the library, canteen and during assemblies such as flag raising ceremony. Boisterous
conversations, whistling, howling, booing and shouting in the school campus premises are not allowed.
5. Cellphones are prohibited in the school. Violations could lead to confiscation of the said item.
B. Conduct outside the School
Every learner is identified with the school to which he belongs. It is therefore his obligation to help in maintaining
the good image of the school by conducting himself in manner befitting a student in a public school, as such, he is
called upon to:
1. Uphold the integrity of the school, protecting at all times its reputation, name and ideals;
2. Conduct himself with dignity and honor and follow instructions of authorities;
3. Participate in activities or programs approved by the school;
4. To avoid associating with person of questionable conduct or identification.
C. Offenses and Corresponding Sanctions
STUDENTS
A learner whether inside or outside the school premises has to conform the school rules and regulations and cope
with the standards of good behavior. His performances, whether behavioral or scholastic are measured to certain
standards of the school to prepare him to be ready for his/her future.
LEGEND:
VR - Verbal Reprimand
WW - Written Warning
POD - Conference with the Prefect of Discipline
PA - Conference with Parents (with promissory note)
ICS - In-Campus Supervision /Community Service
MO - Major Offense

OFFENSES PENALTY CLAUSE


I. MINOR OFFENSES 1ST 2ND 3RD 4TH 5TH 6TH
1. Not wearing of proper uniforms
2. Tardiness / Absenteeism
3. Improper haircut/hairstyle
4. Littering, Loitering
5. Unruly conduct inside the school campus
6. Cutting classes
7. Unauthorized entry in the Laboratory, Computer
Room, Principal’s Office, Home Economics room,
Faculty, etc.
8. Lying to person in authority
9. Destructing/Disturbing use of cellphones and other
electronic gadgets without permission

II. MAJOR OFFENSES


1. Habitual tardiness / cutting classes / absenteeism.
2. Posting, disturbing or disseminating notices, posters without the approval of the School Principal.
3. Smoking in and outside the school campus.
4. Extorting, making authorized collection or solicitation of money from any student or personnel.
5. Use of words that are offensive, vulgar, indecent in nature.
6. Abusive or discourteous towards school authorities and fellow learners.
7. Cheating in any form.
8. Defaming a co-learner or any school personnel.
9. Bribery of any kind to a faculty member or any school personnel with the end view of getting a favour in
return.
10. Threatening, coercing, intimidating or compelling learners to be absent from classes.
11. Forging, altering or falsifying documents, credentials or using false or forged information in connection
with official transactions such as excuse letters, report cards, and the like.
12. Carrying of deadly weapon.
13. Physically or verbally assaulting any person within the campus, participating in brawling, fighting, stabbing,
slapping, punching, quarrelling, hazing to injure a learner or personnel.
14. Entering the school campus under the influence of liquor or bringing in or dispensing liquor.
15. Preventing personnel from discharging their duties.
16. Possessing, distributing, publishing, exhibiting any literature, film print, play which are offensive to good
customs and school policies.
17. Engaging in indecent, obscene, immoral or provocative conduct such as kissing, necking, petting and
similar acts while in the campus and as proven outside the campus.
18. Immoral activities such as engaging in pre-marital sex and homosexual activities.
19. Engaging in any form of gambling.
20. Using, possessing or distributing narcotics or dangerous drugs or their derivatives.
21. Stealing in any form.
22. Vandalism in any form.
23. Bullying in any form.
24. Membership and participating in fraternity / sorority activities.

NOTE: When an offense is considered MAJOR, the penalty is deliberated by the Committee on Discipline. Major offenses
merit penalty of either any of the following:
A. SUSPENSION: Depending on the gravity of the major offense committed.
B. EXCLUSION: This penalty in which the school is allowed to exclude or drop the learner from its rolls during
the school year.
C. EXPULSION: This is an extreme case of administrative sanctions barring the learner from all public and
private schools. To be valid, it must be approved by the DEPED Secretary.
