ASSIGNMENT BRIEF

(A) Assignment 1 (Pair Work) – Field Trip Report (20%)

Work in pairs from the same tutorial group. Assume you have gone on a field trip to a
location of your choice, write a field trip report detailing the experience of your field trip.
Send the report to the Dean of your faculty.

The report should have the following sections:

1. Introduction
o Background
o Purpose of Trip
o Where, who went (lecturers, number of students), how (mode of transportation),
duration

2. Activities conducted ( State 3 activities )

o What you did there?
-itinerary
-highlights

3. Comments
- good aspects
- areas that need improvement
-organization of trip
- members’ participation

4. Recommendations

5. Overall Conclusion
-good
-educational

Each group will submit the Report in week 9 to the respective tutor during tutorial classes.
GUIDELINES
Line Spacing
The body of the text should be double-spaced.

Font and Language

The font Times New roman should be used and the acceptable size is 12. The language should be
English (United Kingdom).

Length of Report
Not more than 3 pages and not less than 2 pages.

Cover page
Use the template given for cover page. The information on the cover page must be typed and NOT
hand-written.

Compilation
The assignment must be arranged accordingly and stapled.

Evaluation Criteria
The evaluation for the assessment will be as follows:

Language 8 marks
Content 12 marks
