SUBJECT: ComColor Program SNALL Ver.10.16

[Brief]
A new ComColor program has been released, and the Firmware has been upgraded as follows:
1. Firmware (Program package): SNALL Ver. 10.16.3
-SNPS (PMS) : 21.7.0
-SNEG (Engine) : 0.10.16
-SNPL (Panel) : 0.91.8
BSM (FB Scanner) : 1.20.0
BAF (AF) : 1.1.0

[Major Revision]
1. RISO Security Package (Option)
RISO Security package become available with SNALL Ver. 10.16 or later.
With RISO Security Package installed, you can use the functions to:
1. Overwrite to erase the data all at once.
2. Overwrite to erase the residual data.
3. Encrypt confidential information.
4. Encrypt passwords.
5. Enhance user authentication
Note:
Installing the RISO Security Package erases all the information stored on the machine prior to
installation. The data backed up in a CSV file prior to installation, such as user information, can
be registered again. However, note that the “data saved to folders” and “settings” are erased.

2. MAC address
MAC address can be checked by print “System Info” even if IP address is not set.

3. S98-0022-x Variation code: PMS-engine communication error

The variation codes are added to distinguish a cause of trouble as below:
1: Possibility of poor connection with IP PCB.
2: Possibility of IP PCB defection.
None: Defection of Flexible cable / Software problem

4. Pressurized Ink tank ink level detection error (Empty ink cartridge is inserted)
Ink level detection error like a S35-2069 will occur if you set empty ink cartridge several times.
The program bug has been debugged.

5. Detection of Punching Trash (Finisher)

Punching trash is overflowed from the box due to miss detection.
The program bug has been debugged.

Cautions for Upgrading Firm Version to 10.xx:

It is need to pay attention when you upgrading the firmware to Ver. 10.xx.
To upgrade to version 10.xx, the ComColor must have firmware version 5.57 or above.
Besides, when you replace an HDD, you also need to pay attention for spare part HDD
type as below:
Case1. Upgrading from earlier firmware version (under Ver. 5.57) to Ver.10.xx or above:
It is required upgrading it to any firm ware between Ver.5.57 to 7.1x first, then upgrade to
Ver.10.xx.
Case2: Replace HDD (Spare parts)
Firm upgrading steps is differing due to type (Old/New) of HDD.
1) Old type HDD 050-75039-052
It is required upgrading it to any firm ware between Ver.5.57 to 7.1x first, then upgrade to
Ver.10.xx.
2) New type HDD 050-75039-150
It can be upgrading to ver.10.xx directly if ComColor have firmware version 5.57 or above.
Note: Type of HDD (Old / New) can be distinguished by spare parts number.
