Unlike most regular 14-year-olds, Sawalma — who hails
from the Palestinian town of Asira Al-Shamaliya — has already
encountered more of the world’s hardships than most will
witness in their entire lives. However, just like most 14-year-
olds, Sawalma is far more interested in eking out as much fun
from life as possible. A grazed knee is hardly going to stop him.
