INTRODUCTION
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are disorders of the heart and blood vessels and include
coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, rheumatic heart disease and other conditions.
Nowadays, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) take the lives of 17.7 million people every year, 31%
of all global death.
Indonesia is the 4th most populated country in the world therefore has a large population
at risk for developing CVDs. Based on data, CVD’s account for 37% of death in Indonesia. The
burden of disease was approximately 18,000 disability-adjusted life years, of which 17,500 were
years of life lost due to premature mortality and the remainder due to years of healthy life lost
due to disability.
Hasna Medika Utama Group, Ltd (HMUG) is the only cardiac chain hospital in Indonesia,
where operated in West Java with approximately 20% of Indonesia population resides. There
are 6.773 in-patients and 9.491 out-patients visit our linked hospital in 2017.
Given a high prevalence of CVD’s in Indonesia, particularly in cardiac disease, HMUG
have to develop a comprehensive cardiac management strategy through 4 main programmes;
Training & Research Development, Hospital Information System, Cardiac Hospital Center of
Excellence, Integrated Emergency System.

TRAINNING & RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT (TRD)
In order to achieve our goal, HMUG develops TRD programmes that consist of:
1. Twinning Programmes (IPA-ENPI)
TP will be delivered through IPA-ENPI that include:
