Please, study Kinetics from CPR first, it’s very well written. Know the diff between different Orders, Models,
Compartments. Don’t worry about complicated Equations. In Exam they only ask the simple calculations like Vd,
half Life, steady state, clearance (of diff orders), etc.

Medicinal Chemistry Schedule

CPR Chapters 8 & 58 – Drug Metabolism, genetics & Principles of Pharmacology and Chemistry
August 12 to August 16
These chapters are basics for pharmacology and medicinal chemistry

Now we will study most important chapters of CPR book (Med Chemistry + Cology Chapters). These are 4 chapters. I am
dividing each chapter into 4 days for you, so you will study it complete and carefully. CPR is best book to study chemistry
with pharmacology, you will not find any better source than this, it may seem complicated but once you do it one time it
will be very easy for you
Talha Shafique

1. Study the chemistry theory first very carefully and note down Important Structures, esp. the basic structure of
whole drug class.
2. Note down important points like Structure activity relationships as explained in CPR book.
3. After studying the chemistry, then study Pharmacology given in same Chapters. Focus on general mechanism and
side effects of class. Memorize specific side effects & interactions of individual drugs only.
4. Use Lippincott book to memorize the drug classifications only. Don’t waste time on that.
5. Make pictures of structures in your mobile as well, so you see them often when free

August 21 to 24 – Med Chem & Pharmacology of Autacoids, NSAIDS, etc.
